| the only tip I can give you cause I'm pretty much a newbie, is to jump on heels and always land on your toes!!! that helped me a lot cause, if not you'll be sliping every time, and also think before getting to the wake in a big w2w jump and not 180, also work on switch as savage3221 said |

also to get a feel for the landing, try inside out jumps (coming from the inside of the wake, and jumping off of the wake moving out) either do 180s coming out of there to practice your toeside landings, or just go toeside the whole way, cutting and landing (switch) to get the feel. this helped me immensly on my first attempts _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

you should practice switch more first, or else you either won't stick the landing or won't ride away from it. Once you can do switch hs and ts jumps then 180s hs and ts will come fairly easy. _________________ Some female cows have horns, but you wouldn't really know anything about that now would you? |

You should definately learn to ride switch. At least be somewhat comfortable with
it. Best way I learned to ride switch was everytime, on my first ride of the day
I would come up switch and ride until I fell. Just practice carving switch. _________________ My boat don't run on THANX |

Learn butterslide 180's, or just get up riding switch. You need it later on, so u might as well work on it now. Riding switch sucks at first, but once you get it down it is just like riding regular |

As everyone stated above, it is important to be able to ride switch. Make sure you have a strong progressive edge as well.
Start your progressive edge emphasizing edging through the top of the wake. Once you're in the air, let go with your lead hand and start to spin. Make sure your back hand has not become your lead hand. Ok here comes the hardest and most important part, so pay attention. As you land, land with one hand one the handle. Point the handle down towards the water, as if you were putting it into your pocket, to allow your shoulders to open up. Land edgeing away from the boat. DO NOT land parallel to the boat path. You're gonna want ot land at about a 45* to the boat path. |

once u do learn to ride swicth the key to a 180 is to pull the handle back to your rear hip....that will force u to turn...dont try to turn yourself. _________________ Visit www.myspace.com/alecperkins to listen to my music! |

I say just do ollie 180's and ride around first, and to get back around switch 180 butterslide. As long as you can ride a little bit switch I would say do inside out 180's and then w2w 180's. Once you get w2w 180's (IMO) you should work on switch 1 wake or inside out 180's. _________________

| Also a toeside 180 is alot easier than a heelside 180. When you land a toeside 180 your facing the boat, which is alot easier than landing facing the shore. Don't worry about not being able to clear the wake toeside you don't need alot of air to do one. Once you get that move onto heelside. |

hey that's one thing i do know about i ride goofy but i had to learn to ride regular too so i stated doin surface 180's and surface 360's to learn how to move the rope around and stuff then i graduated to ollie 180's and 360's it's really helped me and as soon as i learn to just jump the wake notricks then i'm gonna try that wake 2 wake 180 and 360 _________________ only love i have... is for the lake

the key on a w2w 180 is your jump, you want it nice and lofty so it can be a slow turn which will help you and look much cooler. just think about going as big as possible and not about the 180. that will make your turn later and not give you alot of common problems. plus takin it big will mkae it easier to do 180 grabs and then prgress from there. riding switch isnt that hard so you wont have to do it long for this trick, but it is useful to know. gl _________________ Vindicated

For practicing switch, ride on really crappy water with lots of chop. It'll help you with your sense of balance and how to adjust you weight while riding switch. _________________ (insert funny chit here) |
