I am getting very close to landing my Tantrum but for some reason, every once in a while I get the board caught up in the handle when I am rotating. This casues the rotation to stop while i am in the air and it creates some brutal crashes. Has anyone else had this problem or know what I am doing to cause this? If so please help me out.

no this has never happened to me, you are probably not squaring up to the wake so you can't rotate clean with the handle. Cut in. back off your edge stand tall and release your back hand and you should get tripped without handle problems.

also if you keep a slight bend in your arm this will speed up the rotation.

wakeboarder_360, summed up what i was thinking.

You must be making some really weird rotation on the tantrum, because if anything your board would go away from the boat. Like he said, make sure you square at the top of the wake. Sounds like your really throwing it. Maybe get a video of youself and watch it to see what exactly your doing. Always helped me

I think that I have figured out the problem. I don't think I am anywhere close to being parallel to the wake when I leave it. I think i was edging all of the way through and that is what is causing it. I will try to find a video camera to use this weekend when I go out. Then I will no for sure

you might be throwing what is called a frantrum. a mix between a tantrum and a frontflip. you need to back right of that edge and square up.
