On the board, where the boots are placed is personal preference, but where should they be center wise. I like how much I have them duck footed I like how far apart they are, but should i move them back a little? If you look at where the toe is at and the heel you can see they're too far forward. where should they be on the board.
BTW- when you pop off the wake you stand tall. If im right, the upward momentem pops you off the wake. so if you stand tall really fast and push hard against the board you will go higher, right.
Well my question is will you push off harder if your bindings are set closer toghether. Like, when you spread your legs farther apart and try to jump you cant jump as high if your feet are closer to each other. Is that the same concept on a wakeboard with binding width.

You already answered your question (read: personal preference)

In wakeboarding you don't "jump" off the wake, it is not the same, but again read to your first point (personal preference). My narrowing your stance you increase the point of your center of gravity, thus making you more off-balance (theoretically)

jryoung, well theoretically you "pop" off the wake, so if you put your bindings farther foreward, you have more board to pop with. then again you would have more weight foreward so you would probably dig the nose of the board into the water every time you land. then you have the problem of riding switch...

| You have one nice setup for such basic questions, I'm jealous. It's all preference, I set mine up like you have yours(just all the way out). I put mine so they are heavy on the toes, I do this because naturally I feel my heelside edge is stronger & therefore if I start a little heavy over my toes I can dig a harder toeside edge. Pop isn't about jumping like the analogy you mentioned. It's about coming in on a good edge and extending off the top of the wake, not jumping. The width of your stance is also about comfort & more than anything about stability on landings

| Stephan, nicely said....i dont know, my bindings are very close to the same distance from the heel edge and the toe edge. its almos more on the heel edge. im thinking about what stephan said and i think he could be right. on my toeside jumps i seem to be slipping out and turning and landing more on my heels so maybe moving them more to the toe edge will help this and make me land on my toes...i dont know but its something you should experiment with to see what you like best.

| What everyone is saying is all about personal prefrence.. but im pretty sure you should keep them centered because you dont want to be on the front of the board when you go to ride switch.. i think..
