Depending on the size of your boat a fat sac is a cheap way to increase your wake.

I did this for our fishing boat - it helped with the wake. Take 2-3 of those large plastic totes that you store your winterclothes in, camping gear, etc and take them along emtpy. When your out dunk them in the water and fill them up and put the cover on. You can move them around to get a nice ramp and have them both even. Once you do that and your still not getting air work more on your progressive edge and standing tall. I read this off a different post and it helped me. Think of the wake as a big spring board. You want to push off of it and keep your legs more stiff. The "spring board" does the work, you dont need to jump.

no no. no fatsacs. go to walmart and get rubbermaid containers, and put them in your boat filled with water, this will increase the size of your wake.

and to get off the wake start way out, and begin a progressive cut so that when you hit the wake you are cutting as hard as you can. do not stop this cut at the wake, keep cutting up and off of it. youll understand when you try it. then when you hit the wake, stand up off of it and you should get some air no matter how weak the cut.

for a 180, turn your shoulders and spin enough to be cutting away from the wake when you land. (land with 1 hand is the easiest way)

have fun doing that, itll take a while if youre just starting

for the 180 if you can already jump wake to wake you just have to let go with your lead hand and push the handle to your trailing hip and land on your edge. learn them by olling out in the flats first its alot easier.

what kind of boat do u have. because you mite have a decent wake and you dont even know it.

if you want to get more air just cut as hard as you can at the wake. The more speed the more air you get.

The way i learned my 180 was just cut into the wake but as soon as ur abot to air just let go of the handle and just turn ur hips. Once your comfortable doing that just hold onto the handle. Also dont try and turn yourself befor your in the air. Just wait untill your in the air to turn ur hips. Its much easier...

No matter what kind of wake you have, you can still get air as long as you are edging correctly. For a beginner, a smaller wake is probably better to make you learn the right process first, and not too big where it is intimidating...

The boat I usually ride behind is over 30 years old, 50 hp (takes over a minute to completely get me up), 15' long, has almost no wake to speak of (we can't put any extra weight in the back, or else it slows it down to the point of not pulling people up), and the rope is connected to a harness behind the outboard. I only get to board a couple weeks a year, with this boat, but I can get good wake 2 wake jumps just from edging in right. A couple days ago I had the opportunity to ride behind a rented malibu wakesetter. Compared to our boat, it was like heaven. I was getting huge air wake 2 wake without even hardly trying to edge in. Still, do the best that you can with what you have to work with...and once you do get to ride behind a nice boat, it will be great, and the wake won't be responsible for huge air.

i would say to get a fat sac although there are other cheap things to do, the fat sac will add 550+ lbs. if you get a good sac

fat sac will help, but no matter what wake you ride, a w2w 180 should not be too difficult. I used to do these behind a sea doo that made like a wash that was basically just a bump.
