I have had a boat for about 1.5 years. I have been wakeboarding about 1 year. I can clear the wake with ease and do methods and tail grabs, but the thing is, I don't have a tower, so I am riding off the fish-hook. I was wondering if there is any other tricks I can do off of this god forsaken thing, b/c I have been trying to backroll, and I just can't get the air necessary b/c the rope is always trying to come back down.

Thanks for the help fellas,
One Angry American

I ride off the back of a boat and I'm working on W2W BS 180s and 360s. I too dont think I could ever get high enough for a backroll but you dont need a tower and spend tons of money to have fun.... and isnt that what its about.

remember when wakeboarding first started they didn't have towers and all the guys would throw all kinds of inverts. You should at least be able to work on 180s and maybe 3s, also backrolls should be possible as well.

i have gotten real close to landing he backroll, and by the way, professionals could pull a backroll of the fish-hook, im just a guy who has wakeboarded maybe a year on and off. I can work 180's and 3's, I should have been more clear, I was talking about inverts
