i have been trying to grab my tantrums recently and i can never seem to get it. the momentum of the flip is too strong and i cant get my knees up to my chest to grab it. what should i do?

ps.- coming up short on roll to reverts, taking a regular w2w backroll cut. when should i let go with my lead hand? thanks

when your trying indy tantrums dont throw it quite as hard and make sure you try to grab it right off the wake. the earlier you grab it the easier it is. try to think of it as grabbing it before you completly throw your head back and look down at the board.

lumberjack is exactly right on that one... also go ahead and grab ur r2r with ur front hand right after u leave the wake, u can work on getting a better grab but by trying to grab it u will automatically do a r2r! oh yea!

On the R2R its best to let go right as you pop off the wake. I have bad habit of doing it while upside down which kinda messes stuff up but thats another story. Just make sure when you land to get both hands back onto the handle once you finish the rotation.

Davo.FSF, i personally say let go with the land when your half or 3/4 through the rotation. This way you do the 180 near the end and it wont mess up your rotation.

so if i tried grabbing my r2r i would rotate faster? makes some sense but it also may make it hard to land by rotating faster. i'll try both. later dogs
