I've had lots of injuries:
torn LCL sucked
concussions aren't fun
enemas are terrible... and yet so refreshing!
pulled muscles

today I got an enema, then later got knocked out for the 2nd time...
I'm going out again tomorrow Mr. Green

tore it on landing when i underrotated, pushed my back knee towards my front ankle.

from what i have heard the HS front is a trick that injures lots of people.. from what i have seen on forums like this one, the HS front is responsible for a very high percentage of knee/leg injuries..

When I was starting on wake jumps I did a jump to high and nose dived. Nothing serious just a bit dazed and a bit of whip lash.

1st year - broke a rib - got jacked on a d-up.
3rd year - broke a tooth - had a filling in it already so when I slammed my mouth at impact the force of my jaw cracked it. now I don't yell stuff when I take a header.
3rd year jacked my already beat to snot soccer ankle.... on a wrapped hs bs 180.

I have been 4 years injury free, still learning new tricks but now I just jinxed myself.... thanks!

Last week my friend broke his feamer (sp?) and his tibia (sp?) when he came out of his bindings on a tantrum. we had to pull him outa the water and the EMT's had to cut the binding off his foot. It was really sick. He is out for a year but will be able to walk in like 6 weeks.

minor ankle injuries (I got really lucky on a few of them), left knee, a board to the side of my head (got lucky on that one too, it just swelled up alot and bled a little), concussions and some pretty bad whiplash. Plus bruises and some other little scratches.

Sprained ankle and a nice cut and black eye from the board when it flew off my foot when tried a raley a couple years ago. Learned my lesson, never ride with xl bindings with a size 5 or 6 foot.

Myself, I've already blown my knees 6 times this year.. With three Ko's, 8 hits to the head with the board. I sprained my shoulders 3 times already, and dislocated my colarbone. As well as getting about 10 concusisons with my last one being the worst about a thrid grade. Also shin splints which I have are now permament from landing on the flats in everything. Oh and then from all this I got fluiid in my knees, efusion and ruffage and wholes in the cartlage.

A few concussions, had to have cartlidge removed from my knee which has now caused regular trapped nerves (they are the worst as I just crumple as I land, I take off feeling fine and then my knee just gives me shooting pains as I land). Tore ligaments in my ankle when only one binding came out while trying to learn a backroll (which, by the way, I still can't land!) And most recently I tore the muscles between my shoulder and my neck on my left side after nailing a hs 180 and catching an edge.

P.S. I've only been boarding a year!!!!!!

nothing too bad, just a few sore ankles, a few bad scorpions, whiplashes, slap balls, and sore necks. I haven't had a big injury yet...but it is bound to happen.

I also get those pecker wreckers on frontrolls sometimes.. feels like you left your balls behind like 20 feet or when you just made berry jam with the boyz. I think thats the worst, how about you?

I know this might sound stupid but has anyone heard of a mouth gaurd? They cost 95 cents at walmart and if you mold it correctly you don't even know you have it in your mouth. I bought one after I saw my friend bite the tip of his tounge off after a failed back roll attempt. I highly suggest them for all the people tring inverts.

I don't know why people keep putting up these kind of posts. All it does is make my mind spin when I am comming into the wake for my third attempt at a whirllybird for the day, wondering how I am gonna hurt myself. I would rather not know. My worst sports related injury happened Pole Vaulting. I am sure if I spent all day reading about polevaulting injuries I would have held back and never set my school record. Oh well maybe I am just an idiot.

Peace

At the first boardstock, which was many moons ago for you youngsters, I had a great crash. I went for a hs backroll, and landed clean, clean on my face I think. I don't remember. I don't know how I went from the water to being inside the boat, the whole thing is a blank.

Last year I hurt my back and it has hurt every f'ing day since. No matter what I do I wake up in pain.

As for the variety of injuries: stuff happens. You can get hurt doing a w2w grab or a mobe 540.

If the worst that happens is you 'skip your stones' then you're doing well.
