OK. Sometimes I need to know the physics behind the trick in order for me to visualize it correctly and to trust the tips given from others...

With the raley, do you stay on your heelside edge the entire way through the wake?? I'm not understanding the physics behind the load and release on this trick... If you commit to the heel edge, wouldn't it be more like a w2w jump? How do the legs float behind you without kicking them back? If someone can help to illustrate this I would totally appreciate it....
THanks

Hi Amy

So, you put down the scarecrow?

Concerning the raley:

In fact, you don't have to do anything else then to cut on your heelside edge trough the w h o l e wake. As the boat is pulling you to one side and you're cutting against (more or less), at the moment you reach the top of the wake, the whole energy held by the edge of the board (and you) will help the board kick behind you.

For this trick, it's important to look into the boat all the time. And don't let go the handle, you know: no rope, no hope!

And secondly: It's not necessary to come in as hell. The important thing is the cut up the wake and not the speed. But sure, you've to start wider out then for a normal w2w jump.

if you kick them back like I did, you will go into an inverted raley...more like your legs above your head instead of behind your body..NOT GOOD Laughing Confused Shocked HAHA

instead of keeping the handle into your hips like a wake jump, you let it out and let your legs go behind you, not trying to keep them under you
