Anyone ever destroy their ankle by only coming half way out of the binding? I was doing a backroll and under-rotated then my nose dug in, I ate sh%t. Took some x-rays and luckely it wasn't craked or broken only sprained. Should have fallen harder then maybe I would have came out of the binding _________________ I Love The Smell of Butta In The Morning |

Halfway out is a problem. I hurt my heel pretty bad coming halfway out. _________________ Visit www.nashvillewakeboarder.com for riders in the Nashville, Tn area! |

Yup, I've hurt my ankle pretty good... was trying a raley and didn't make it all the way back, nose dug in and crashed pretty hard. One foot came out, and the other stayed in. The ankle that stayed in the binding got sprained really bad... had to stay off it for 3 months, was snow ski season by the time it felt good enough to use again |

| Did the exact thing yesterday, underrotated on a tantrum and dug in and ate it, my foot came halfway out of the binding. I did not hurt my ankle, but serious strain/sprain around the midfoot. Thank God I didn't break anything. |

I hurt my ankles all the time, just from coming completely out of my bindings. I think the cold water dosnt help for keeping my muscles warm. Prone to pull muscles. _________________ Im sick of seeing these posers with 50k boats who can't even wakeboard. |

My front foot came halfway out of the binding in mid-air. I relaized it and ended up landing with it halfway out with my back to the boat, and skidded out 3 times before I fell. So I basically landed on it 3 times from a pretty big w2w jump. I basically tore all the tendons in my ankle...and didn't do anything about it.
I couldn't walk on it for a while. I waited a week...Then went wakeboarding and had my friends open my bindings as big as they could so I could get my ankle in/out without too much pain. Then it hurt too bad, so I didn't wakeboard for 2 weeks, then I had a trip to wakeboard camp, ouch. I rode hard on it all week. Some of the bones were jammed too. Two months later I went to the chiropracter once a week and she would reset it.
It still has scar tissue, and will probably never be 100%. Lesson learned: Don't wear bindings that are too big, Never use dish soap when you run out of Newt Juice, and don't ignore it. _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.
