Ok, whenever I try to jump TS, one of a few things happen

-Trip over the wake and faceplant
-Crappy jump w/small air
-crappy jump landing switch
-crappy jump, land falling back on my ass

All four of these piss me off to no end. Got any TS tips? Thanks!

im not the best at it myself, but ive ridden with a few semi pro i guess you could call them and my biggest problem is body postion.. once i saw myself on video hitting ts jumps i could see i change my upper body position and thats where some of the 180s so to speak come from... look into it and if its the case you have to train yourself to ride in the right form..

hope this helps

start off small, dont try to go big, get use to the feeling of jumping off toeside, this is how i did it. Then you will eventually get more comfortable

I find really focusing on the horizon helps. If you look to much at the wake you can get knocked off balance. Just look forward and don't bend at the waist, and cut all the way through the wake and you should be fine. I find If I look down I often will fall down.

I get beter pop but less air on my toeside because I can stand up better going toeside. This is a weird feeling. What I've experienced is that if you try cutting out hard to your heelside you get a feeling for what your edge to the wake should feel like. Just cut like that and stand up at the wake. To stop your rotation you can let go with your backhand. This helps me to stop from rotating and land easier. Also keep your eyes ahead and on the horizon.

when you are cutting in stick out your chest. it doesnt seem like it would help much but it really does. a friend of mine garveyj told me to do this and after that ive been consistently getting good pop and landing under control

Like Brian B. said you need to point your belly at the sky when you are cutting in. Try it out in the flats a little first - it feels really weird, but when you get used to it, then you will be in the right position. If you are all hunched over coming into the wake you will not get the pop, and you will probably land all screwed up as well. The right body position will lead to success on the toeside jump.
