long shorts vs. short ones

Question for everyone: I have noticed the longer shorts look pretty cool when us girls wakeboard, but are they as comfortable as shorter ones? I want to get a longer pair but do they confine your knees? Confused

i like the longer ones much better they dont go up your butt like the shorter ones do, and you dont really have to worry about any water going into places it shouldnt. And they definately dont confine your knees theres a reason you see most of us girls wearing them, and look at all the pro guys they wear them and if they confined the knees they wouldnt be able to do the things they can. give em a try, if you dont like em you can always go back to the short ones.

I love long boardshorts, I'll only wear them. They don't confine your knees at all. I actually found that the shorter shorts confine my hips and upper thighs really bad, I get so uncomfortable in them, maybe its just my ghetto booty and fat thighs.
Not too sure about the water going places it shouldn't, I must not be wearing the right shorts, because there are some falls (especially sliding out on ts) that the water just comes right in the exit only. Confused

It's all good though, it's probably because I don't wear bottoms. Very Happy

For good long boardshorts, my favorites right now are my CWB shorts, they are made of a really soft, water resistant material and are nice and loose. Other shorts that I like the look of are the new Crue shorts and the ten-80 shorts.
And now I'm going to put this little smiley just because I like him... Laugh

I prefer the longer ones cuz when you smack the water...the shorts absorb some of the 'smack'. I like the way the shorter ones makes my legs look better.(shows off t he muscles)..but I ain't out there for some fashion show!!! Laughing

Definately like the longer ones better, too bad I only have one pair and it's an hour and a half drive one way to get more. I'd buy off the internet, but I'd be afraid they wouldn't fit right.

definantly long shorts. Guys board shorts r the best! I wont ever wear ne other kind of shorts wakeboarding. Laughing

im def. sportin the long ones ladies...i dont like how the short ones are so tight...just seems like they are more for show than comfort....long ones help me up my ego a little bit, to better keep up with those boys! long ones just work better for me, my sister rides short ones....but she's ridin for different reasons than i am! long boardshorts definitely! but that's just my style... i'm not really the revealing type... plus my thighs look like tree trunks. long shorts tend to be more comfortable on me, and they're loose so they won't confine your knees. the only bad thing is that they probably make short people look even shorter... at least that's what i've been told... i'm only 5'0"... *sob*

But sometimes when I am just coming up out of the water the left leg of my shorts will fill up with water & create some serious drag. I could go either way really - I personally have some of each!

I love 'em. I have about 8 pairs and counting...

And only one bathing suit. I don't really like the gurls version of guys shorts, they don't really cut it for me. They just arn't long enough and big enough, lol. I hate wearing short shorts now, I hadrly ever do. I usually have on bigger shorts than all of the guys I ride with.

I wear both. I have about 7 pair of short and 3 pair of long. I buy all of mine a size bigger so that they are loose and ride really low. It just depends on what mood I am in as to which ones I wear. I can't tell a difference between them when riding.
