Hey, a fellow Oregonian...how's everything up there in Portland?
Regarding that TS BS 180, can you already do a switch 360? If so, it's just the last half of that trick.
If not, basically you want to make sure you pop up first and wait a bit before you pass the handle. Passing the handle is really what spins you around, you kind of pass first and then it pulls your around.
I also find it helps to pop towards the boat. What I mean by this is as you take off keep the board pointed a bit more towards the boat opposed to a hard edge towards the shore you're heading towards. And try to pull the rope a little bit so you advance forward towards the boat. This makes it a bit easier to pass the handle.
Good luck! _________________ Pat McCarthy |

| As usual, perfect advice Pat. One thing I'll add is something I found helpful. To get the feel for the rotation and handle pass, it's a move you can easily do one-wake. You can really do it starting at the bottom of the wake, just edge up it so you pop a bit, then do the bs 180. I've found it helps with getting that handle pass down, since it's a tough one to get. |

| One other thing. The rotation should be really late, at least when you're first learning them. If you try and rotate too soon (naturally what you would feel like doing) the trick just doesn't work out. Don't even think about spinning until you have the handle in your other hand. Late is key. |

| You wanna try it one wake first so that you get the feeling and rotation. Then once you have that you can go big with two wakes. If you cant get the handle pass just wrap the handle and do it that way once or twice then try it agin with out the handle wraped. |
