help with adobe premier

i have adobe premier 6.0 and when i put my footage onto the computer i save it as .wmf, but when i go to open it in adobe it doesnt show up, does adobe not support .wmf?

i'm not really sure what .wmf is.....i save everything as .avi so the quality stays really good

a wmf is a "windows media file" (I think...if I'm wrong please correct me). And no premiere doesn't support wmf files. Stick with avi's if you can and you should be good to go.

.wmf is a windows META file.
.wmv stand for Windows Media Video (this is type of file you will see on wakepics.com)

How are you saving your file? and what are you trying to achieve? Do you want to post your video on the web?
