Guys, Need some opinions, suggestions please.....
Im an older guy, 6',250# and just want to learn how to ride, maybe a pop off the wake a little.....not fat, just real muscular.
Looking at the NASCAR Hyperlite Vero (saw it on some website, pretty cool although I know it came out a few years ago) but also considering the MOTIVE in case I want to do more.
Bindings, thinking Byerlys or the LF ALphas, I take an E width shoe, heard the Alphas are comfortable but my be a little narrow? Looking for the most comfort of course.
Whats your thoughts? thanks for the help....... |

| Go with any board in the 140's range...in fact I think there are two in the classifieds section on this board for good prices. As for bindings look at the LF Transits... They are more expensive than the Alphas but (from what I've heard) work better with wider feet. Hope this helps |

Hi Bill, welcome to Wakeboarder.com! Glad to have you here.
agfan12 is right, anything in the 140-145 cm range should work for you. The Motive would be a great board for you. Regarding Byerlys, you probably don't need something as advanced as the Byerlys, you can probably get something for cheaper that works well for you. _________________ Pat McCarthy |

| With bindings, you really need to try them on to know if they'll fit properly. If you're looking for pure comfort in your bindings, I would recommend the DU Luke Wulfs. They're a little more flexible than a lot of bindings out there (good for tweaking those grabs), but they are oh-so comfy. As far as board size goes, anything over 140cm should suit you just fine. |

BILL, if you are looking at hyperlites, the vero is definately a good model to begin with, my first board was a fluid, smaller version of the vero and i was so happy with it. It's definately a solid board. It's very stable and it still gives you enough room to grow into it and jump the wake a little. For bindings i had the hyperlite spin bindings which are definately a comfy binding that is easy in/easy out, which you may want as opposed to the Liquid Force Ultras which have no laces or straps, they either fit or the don't. Although I would say the hyperlite split binds are a good way to go too if you want that extra support. So my conclusion, the vero with the spin or split bindings would not be a bad way to go. good luck. _________________ There are few things that are greater than wakeboarding. |

im not big on the spins or splits....just dont seem to have enough support.im 16 and im a pretty big muscular guy myself . my feet are size 12 and they are fat feet. I have the hyperlite highbacks and they are really comfortable and give great support. good luck |
