| on my tantrums i have a hard time getting air and getting across the wake. the rotation is also messed up so that the board goes around the back instead of directly above. |

loom straight over your head and away from the boat this keeps the lin e tension. Don't throw it over your front shoulder. Also, make sure you wait until the wake starts to initiate the flip, it sounds like your just throwing it too early. _________________ UCSB Waterski Team |

cheezball189, I landed my first tantrum about 5 weeks ago, and can land them almost every time now. I had the same problem at first, i could land them but get almost no air and not across 2 wakes. When i saw a video of some of my attempts i learned that i was doing them way to early..!
Have someone video tape you and watch that, you will probably see yourself doing the same thing. When you wait for the wake to trip you over you will get the height and distance you are looking for. Just wait wait wait.. that is the key...
Good luck..! |

| your problem is in your edging. If the tantrum is gettin thrown out the back it means that your are not surfing the wake enough as you ride up. you really need to have a lot of speed coming in and then the more you transfer your edges and square up with the boat the easier the rotaion will be. for the pop part of it, if you edge in with bent knees and stand super tall as you are riding up the wake and transfering edges you will go twice as high. i used to edge through the wake and then try to square up and throw it. i learned to work with it and land it consistantly but once i figured out how to really do it properly, it made the trick so effortless and i got twice the pop. |

man, tantrums the evil trick for me... well actually for my hands. this past weekend i hucked about 6 or 7 of these. i went pretty big on all of them and landed all of them on my board fine in the flats, except i couldnt hold on, the rope would get pulled out of my hands every time. kinda sucks _________________

i was trying ts frontrolls the other day(kinda the same trip flip technique) and while i was practicing i just wanted to practice the edge change at the wake. So i took a somewhat hard cut in, squared up to the wake, and then right as i left the water i started flipping.....didnt even try to. i made it like 3/4 of the way around too....kinda weird. well, yeah, wait for trip from the wake, it really throws you. _________________ "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them"
