Here is a slider that was made by one of my students, its held together with bolts and can be transported quite easily.

Thats cool, I teach woodshop here in michigan and I wish I could get some of my kids to make a slider!!! I had one make a wakeskate last year that was pretty cool. I do wakeboard with a few of my students, I can't get the teachers out on the boat, if it is not a team sport they don't care:( On another note one of the guys that I board with has a freshman daughter that wakeboards and snowboards and is really good, as a freshman she has set several school track records, I love to rub that in the coaches faces: "That girl who wakeboards is beating the kids that are in the weight-room for 2 hours every day!!!!"

melvinator, When you are an athlete you are an athlete. Rock on for her!

It's the same reason our Soccer team would kick the crap out of our football team at the winter carnival games in Flag football, floor Hockey and doge ball (killer). We were just better athletes.

Slider -make sure you have them grind down those bolts, I know they don't hang out too far but I'd hate to even rub against one on a crash.

I can't agree more jdogg, I had the star varsity quarterback in my class and he could not balance on a indo board for the life of him:) I run the ski and snowboard club and have had kids show up with broken arms in casts and snowboard in slings. I think skate/snow/wake-boarders must have some tough-gene that other people don't posses, either that or we are all just nuts!!!

I thought it was woodshop. You let them pass without quarter-rounding all those sharp edges? Laughing And is that a label I see stapled to on of the boards?!

Also, did they take the edge off the PVC a little where the two sections meet or was the fit perfect? I'd hate to hang up on a little lip right there.

This gives you an idea of the distance. This is before the water level went down and made it higher like in the pics above. But you get an idea of the distance and stuff. Lots of fun. Smile

cheb, that looks awsome, i like the ramp at the end, i believe the ramp is plastic decking board, which will work great, but how did you get the transition from the entrance ramp to the slider? would you have a closer pic of that joint? if we can get that first ramp built we can move it closer to shore and it wont be so gay!
rybassett, it might be gay, but not as gay as your slider

Ohio may be not so hot for wakeboarding but you have nothing on the girls at my school. Let me give you an example:
Girl-"Hey do you do that waterboarding thing?"
Me-Its WAKEboarding
Girl-"Oh is that some ghetto term for skiing or something?"
Me-NO Its a sport!
Girl-"Well I kneeboard and tube. Its awesome!"
