I just finished a wakesurf video of me riding this past friday...it will be posted on
www.420EMPIRE.com tonite. its called 'Wet & Wild Wakesurf Angi' haha!
check it out. I have only wakesurfed two other times, but let me know what you guys think !!! *video and riding*

Right on Angi...nice video! I too am going to have to try that some time. Tween that and wakeskating...lots of new temptations out there for me to try. I soo too need to get a digi camera. Would love to post up some vids of me and my guys (unfortunately no girlz in my group yet) out there sucking it up but having a great time.

I do not go into the general wakeboard area any more for this exact reason. so i started coming to the ladies lounge and had no problem till you decided to for some reason come down on me. I simply want to make and share my videos.

Great video angi! I love wakesurfing. When you biff, then impact isn't nearly as severe as when wakeboarding.

I have some vids of myself that i'd like to post some day if i get the guts. I get so embarrassed watching myself on a video, i always end up leaving the room. Silly I know.. hubby yells at me "how can you get better if you don't see what you're doing wrong." I'm just too shy i guess.

Anyway, rock on and keep the vids coming!

Kerri--definately agree on the wake'biffs' OUCH! took a couple really hard falls this weekend and I was dazed and confused for the rest of the night! I felt bad, we were having people over for the roy jones jr. vs. tarver fight and I could not even make a complete sentence!! Laughing

come on! post them babies! don't be embarassed at least you are out there doing it. and I agree with your hubby when you watch yourself you can see exactly what you need to improve on.

I'm still waitin' on Indy to post some vids of her riding in my hometown!!! Razz

btw--I am looking for some new bindings maybe..anyone got any suggestions? I wear a size 6 shoe. and my splits are minis. something with fewer contraptions on them!

wakejunkeygirl - I gotta say I love my Parks bindings. Once you get the toe area locked in you never have to change it. Then, it is just cinch up the back and velcro the option 2 strap. They have honestly made a difference in my riding and to quote my guy (he has Parks, too), "it feels like I'm riding on pillows".

thanks Lizrd--gonna demo some different bindings and I will put those on my list. My hubby uses those I think..? Byerly board and the Parks board, but I think Parks bindings..I would check to make sure, but he is out wakeboarding Evil or Very Mad

wakejunkeygirl, awsome vid. Looks like you had a blast. Which board did you like better? You should definatly try one of the smaller ones as well! They are wayy more playful. I feel like every time I wakesurf I improve a ton, looks like you have as well!

One little peice of advice - Take you toes in alllll the way to the egde of the rail and lean forward alot, this will keep you in the "pocket" for longer Mr. Green

honestly, I liked the landlock for 'throwin in the handle and ridin' I liked the monster board for gettin' a little more aggresive and kinda just havin' fun.
the first time I went out I rode the phase five, cuz Drew was with us and he is sponsored by them..so he would NOT let me ride anything else!! Rolling Eyes

but I don't think I was ready for it yet...it felt a little squirrley. I got up and carved and rode ok, but I could only ride w/o the handle for a very short period of time..I kept sketching out!! Surprised

I am going this weekend and will be riding the phase five (cuz drew is coming) so that will be the only board I have to choose from!! I'll apply the advice you gave and let ya know how I did.

yes, please hook your camera up! I have only seen still pix ofyou wakesurfing/boarding! that would be kool, cuz I have never seen video of anyone besides my friends surfing!! so get on it girl!

that is the second time I have heard to try those bindings...looks like I am gonna demo some!

I've tried a landlock, and it was great the fist few times. Then I got on a broadcast and loooved it! I bought one, but ended up selling it for a sweeet deal so I could afford to go to camp in FL. I ended up buying a Phase 5 instead of another landlock, an dI don't realy like it as much. Mabye my wake isn't big enough....or I just need to get used to it. I'm thinking about selling it and buying a broadcast instead. Thats awsome you get to go with Drew, talk about a good teacher! He's awsome on the wakesurfer!

My brother's g/f has almost all of my footage in Boston, she just got her degree for film editing and is going to make me a video. I have a bout 5 mins of new footage, but I will get some more and this weekend! I promise!

JRock listen to how kool this is!! guess Drew was talking to his phase five rep today and told them how I was really gettin into wakesurfing and how we do so many vids that are on the internet ..seeing if we could get 'hooked up ' with a phase five board from them for 420Empire to have and make more vids of us riding...well, he is coming saturday nite and bringing us our new board!! they totally hooked it up! I am not sure which one it is... ( I do know it is not the super small squirrly one that Drew rides) I will get to see which one it is saturday nite! I am so excited! so now I'll have my own board and can practice whenever I get the chance!! i'll let ya know which one it is after the weekend..

I wondered about the broadcast steve from watersports west had it at the demo day last year. I didnt try it though...I think that day I used the landlock. I like it.
Drew said that if the board felt too squirrley to me then I just needed to practice more... Rolling Eyes

he is a TUFF coach! expects a lot out of me..and I love it! I like to be
pushed a little harder' makes me try harder when someone expects just a'little more' outta me. its a bummer cuz Drew's G/F doesnt wakesurf at all. she wakeboards, sometimes..but no surf. man if my B/F was the world champion of wakesurfing...you better believe I would be milking him for every drop of coaching he's got...wait..I DO do that... Laughing

and I'd have some 'explaining' to do if I had a B/F ...how the heck would I explain that one to my hubby??? Shocked

P.s. I am totally looking forward to seeing YOUR footage! I can tell by your stills that you are tearin' it up! You are actually the only other girl I have seen pix of on a wakesurf...

I just used the microsft video maker thing that was already on the comp. This time though I had speakers, and I took some more time to edit....use extra features....
