I checked out the past threads but I still need some more info before I purchase some more water bags.

Ive read 1500 + 2000 Lbs of ballast ,500 front back side 2 side.
Im yet to see a picture of the wake.

My concern is exceeding the weight capacity and long term damage if any.

What are /is your experience (s) with weighing a D-Drive inboard.

Any suggestons will be appreciated.

LC

never had an outback, but i used to weight my 22ir with about 1200 lbs. i put 350 hours on it that way in 3 years and never had a problem. as far as where to put the weight and how much, i would weight that boat with 40% in the front and 60% in the rear to start and then ajust from there to get it dialed in.

with an dd try more like 30 up front and 70 in the back. the engine is in the middle so its not like a v-drive where we do 40/60

yeah, that was just a place to start, in my 22ir i got the best wake from 5-600 in the front and 700 in the back. but every boat is different.

run a sack under the rear seat, in the front ski locker and either side sacks or one big (500 or larger) in between the motor box and rear seat. If you have any passengers put them in the back seat, maybe one up front. I've played with many combinations of ballast with that boat, its by far the best. Should be a total of around 1400 lbs just in water.

thanks for the replies.

I plan to use 640(70-80%) L+R Engine, 350 Rear Trunk/Locker + 200- 350 Bow if necessary.

Right now my Ski locker holds my subs but if the need be their gone to the rear locker.

My concern is that 1100 limit sticker. I just wanted to know how much I could get away with.

Jon, I actually have my gas tank under the rear seat.
