|
|
HS FRoll. on my first attempt i went pretty big, and some how over rotated the damn trick. and since then, i dont get the timing right to take off the wake, it seems i come off too early and always end up eating the incoming wake. no hieght what so ever. when i do get height, i lose all my spinning power and land 3/4 of the way (i.e on my left shoulde, being goofy). any constructive advice?? thanxs!

Are you talking roll of flip? You mentioned landing on your shoulder so it sounds like a front flip (cartwheel style?). If so, check out the HS Front Flip thread on this page. _________________ We are wakeboarders and our culture is advanced beyond all that you can possibly comprehend with one hundred percent of your brain. |

| the hs front(cartweel style)is a trick that can be taken Huge... u should try putting a lot more weight on your back foot, and wait for the wake to throw u up. if u do this right you should def feel the wakes power throw u up. also try and touch ur right ear to ur right shoulder to keep rotating. |

are you talking about a hs front flip or a hs backroll? There's no such thing as a heelside front roll. _________________ www.led-concepts.com |

| really??? then i guess i made up a new move! no seriously though, its not a front flip cause it goes end over end like the way a cartwheel looks not like a front flip on a trampoline. |

wkbrdmdw,
There was a whole thread about this a while back. Tip-over-tail, end-over-end, or whatever you want to call it, is a flip when going forward (front) and a roll when going backward (back). Then, a TS front roll is like a front flip on a tramp. I think it was said that you couldn't do a front roll from HS. Confusing? No doubt. _________________ We are wakeboarders and our culture is advanced beyond all that you can possibly comprehend with one hundred percent of your brain. |

| the best way i was tought to do this is aproach exactly like a back roll pop off the wake like you would a backroll but throw your lead ear to your lead shoulder |

Why would you throw this anythign like a back roll. For a proper backroll you are edgeing up and away from the boat, off the wake. The edge coming into the wake is similar where you have a good strong progressive edge. If you pop of the wake properly the way you would for a backroll you will start to rotate over your tail, good luck throwing the front from that position. DO NOT POP OFF THE WAKE LIKE A BACKROLL... |
