How do you wakeskate?
With or WithOut fins?
I ride both.
With little fins it helps me edging stronger and so i have more control
But without i stick stuffs like shuvit and i just like this "smooth" feeling...
An U ?
How do you ride...

i ride no fins, so it spins easier and stuff for like surface spins without ollieing because i cant ollie on a wakeskate that well, so i use no fins to spin |

I like to ride with fins because it makes you pop you're shuvits and it tracks better behind the boat for W2W. I take them off for the cable parks though. _________________ bindings suck |

Wow I guess I better take my fins off so I can be like all of you. If all I rode was sliders I wouldn't use them either, but I like to do everything. I'll through more than my share of tech tricks and I like the fact riding with fins makes you pop you're tricks. _________________ bindings suck |

like if u were doin a shuv it but dident rotate it enough the fins would make it shoot off to some side or somethin like that without the fins u just land and correct, but thats my opinion so dont listen to it _________________ "We forget in life that we are not human beings living a spritual experience, but spritual beings living a human experiance."

the fins would help get traction back and get the board back straight.....i think so atleast cause they would catch onto the water, w/o fins it wouldn't do it |

That is exactly what you should do David. What works for Trevo doesn't work for me, and what works for me doesn't work for Trevo. And since nobody picked up on my sarchasm from my post 3 up, I do ride with fins unless I'm hitting rails. Also, I think that whether you ride a Hype or Cassette makes a difference. The Hypes don't look as loose as the Cassettes because of their turned down rails. I have never ridden a Hype so I might be talking out my arse. |

I would like to try ridding one with trip fins on 4 sides, I think that would be a fun way to ride. _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4. Get your $*** together Billy, cause the night ain't over!"

B-rad I am in the process of making a skate and have been seriously thinking about running 4 outside trip fins on it. I might also just make it finless. What does everyone think? |

yeah but that would require me to get trip fins to try it and I am cheap and lazy!!!! But if I feel rich and ambitious I might try it or if everyone and their mother decides it is a real great idea. |

ill most likely ride finless when i get my board, it should be here in a couple days, i like to be able to do shovits on a snow skate and the board hits the ground and doesnt instantly stop like it would with fins, just like wakes8ertrevo said it makes room for mistake |

The fact is i like riding the both way but once i try without and when just after me my dad try he wasn't really happy about this change...
He wasn't able to control everything...
But the funny think is when my mom try this way, she found that it was cool and even easier to do 180 or 360 slide.
In fact she adapts very well in all situations...
(her best trick in wakeboard is a half cab 180°...
but she is 55 years old!)
And i have to say that i'm very proud to have the oldest riders that i know for parents!
PS:
You have talked about trip fins on a wakeskate i do not really see where is the main goal...
may be to change the feeling?
But when u go for a slide u probably go for a crash...!
Or thre may be that there is something that i haven't understand?) |

I was thinking only the outside fins. My goal was to gain control but I was thinking the outside trip fins are so tiny that it might allow them to break loose easier??? _________________ "The pen is mightier than the sword cause the pen gives the word sending swords to war." |

i use fins for wake to wake.. those new cassette ones hold like a bich. for shovits and stuff i learned then without fins. when i put them on the fins forced me to olly harder and get higher. thus making me a better rider. i always take off the fins for sliders.
the trip fins i have also tried. they are in the middle. they give u good enough traction for wake to wake jumps and they give u enough loosness for slidin around and doin lazy shuvits without havin to pop high.
hopes this helps
fallw the revolution of wakeskatin
