Hey guys, I can get the rotation right about half the time but have a big problem landing on the board. The board goes either out to the side or doesn't land straight... kinda off to one side. I've been trying to catch the board and stomp it down but I just can't seem to get it... any tips would help.

Just keep practicing. I know how frustrating this can be, it took me a year to get my kickflips to where I felt okay about 'em.

Yeah just practice it takes a while like some people i know have been doing it a 2 years or so still cant get them. Ive also found that if you do them up the fun box it helps a bit dont know why it jsut does.

Just stand tall, bend your knees and keep your weight centered on your board. Pop straight up and catch it before it starts flyin' off in different directions. When you land get ready to tic tac a bit if your still learning to get your balance. I still do it a lot and I've been skating for over a year.

Edit: By stand tall I mean don't let your weight shift around when your setting up.

yeah, I'm getting so-so with them now, I can kickflip over a deck now, but I'm probably landing maybe 1 in 5 attempts.

Oh yeah and as stupid as this sounds, when I was learning kickflips, I would skate on the road in front of my house. There's a slight slant in te road (not too noticeable) but they were easier when I rode up it. Maybe try them going up hill or on banks.
