Alright whats with the socks? Having them up high I mean, I've been skating for over a year and still can't figure out why people do it. The closest explaination I've come ot is to protect from it bashing into your ankle and to take some of the force away but I wouldnt imagine it would take much or any off. So if any one skates with high socks on the board please answer or any one with any idea.

I wear ones that go half way up my shin. Its normal. But I'all be damned if I gonna wear those gay little anklet socks. I would have to kick my own ass if I wore those.

WakeSessions, you mean ankle highs? Them socks are good.

Split and freerider4, true, but why is it usually skaters you see wearing there socks up, seeing normal everyday people with there socks up (besides a uniform of course) is a rarity.

There is ankle socks and then those ones I hate where they cover like the foot only (not even the ankle) so it looks like you don't have socks.

Idk I wear them for bball and Skating mostly to take some attention from my lack of althetic talent.

It's friggin' socks! That's like saying "Why do some people wear beanies instead of flexfits?" or "Why is that guy wearing a LS-T instead of a normal T?"

While it is summer here, Aussies (and all people in the southern hemisphere) are out enjoying the heat. And Americans (which as you know make up most of this site) are freezing there arses off in the winter. That'd be my guess.
