Whats the benefit of having the bindings all the way out?

if im only intermediate and have them all the way out to an expert stance will it hurt anything? Shocked Question

WakeBoarRder180, many people find that having the bindings out all the way gives them the most stability on their board and is easier for landing.

You should really go with them wherever it feels most comfortable for you though. Keep in mind that "all the way out" isn't necessarily going to be the same width apart on every board and will vary depending on your height as well.

okay, when wakeboarding you are supposed to keep you chest up, not leaning for ward towards the ground/water. making your stance all the way out allows you to do this. Try this: do a squat with your feet right next to each other, now do one with your feet pretty far apart(not the splits or anything but about where your feet would be on your wakeboard). In the first squat you have to let your upper come forward to compensate for your lack of balance, if your feet are farther apart you dont have to bring your upper body forward that much. so on a wkaeboard if your cutting in heelside and your feet are close together you are going to get pulled forward and be out of control and if they are apart you are mor stable because your chest is up.

don't worry about anything that says this is designated for an expert/indermediate/beginere etc. this is just for people starting out and that dont know too much and dont have the cool people of wakeboarder.com to ask. do what makes you comfortable .
