I have been wakeboarding for about 1 & 1/2 years. My mate has been wakeboarding for almost 9 years. I am catching up to him pretty quick but wanted to try some new tricks.

I can jump w2w from both sides of the wake, I can ride switch comfortably & have landed a few 180 off the wake from the toe side.

I wanted to know what new tricks I can learn, if anyone has any info on what I can try & a brief explanation on how to do them that would be great.

Cheers

You should probably learn to do consitent 180s, both HS and TS, as well as some grabs. Also, if you learn to ride switch now, you'll be very grateful in the future. A great place to find out about how to do tricks is on the wb.com main site, right here: http://www.wakeboarder.com/tricks/tricks.phtml

Edit: You should also learn a really good progressive edge. It is good to have for every trick, and essential for just about anything better than a 180. Read up on it on the link above.

Simple grabs, I am partial to a tweaked method

And what about after simple grabs and 180's? Backrolls? Where would a Raley fall into your learning experience?

Demps, I would say get 180's and grabs down solid first. After that your on to grabbed 180's and 360's. And if your comfortable with it add backrolls a little after starting to try the 360's.

I heard backrolls were easier than 360's. But I'm sure people just have problems with the handle passing maybe.

What 03belmont said.

360's and tantrums or backrolls are kinda at the same level. I think backrolls are easier than 3's but that's my opinion.

Thanks guys!!!

I was thinking of trying a 360 but I might just try to get the 180 TS & HS & then some grabs as well.

It will give me something to try this weekend.

Cheers guys.
