SAN TE is Super Air Nautique Team Edition. You'll see that one a few times. _________________ ODPC |

How does Chevy compare to Ford? Everyone has their own opinion. They are expensive but so are the other tow boats. If you take a look at the boat discussion here and on Wakeworld.com you'll see a whole bunch of people trying to figure out which one is better. Its all personal opinion. Personally I really like Tige and MC (not that I could afford one). _________________ ODPC |

pickwickin, it depends on your preference. Do you require the super-bling Escalade or will a F150 do it for you? Similar question in the boat market. Sure, the SAN has better refinement, but the Mobius sure as hell gets the job done for about half the price.
Me personally, I think SAN's are overrated and horribly overpriced, but that's just my opinion. _________________

chavez-y-chavez, if you had the chance to pay the same price for a Mobius LSV i think its called and a SAN TE, you would pick the mobius?
It all depends on what you want though, and how much you want to spend, SAN's and SAN TE's are more for the hardcore boarders i would say, the Mobius' and such i think are more family oriented boats. _________________ Religion. I would say the opposite. I don't need a SANTE to have a good time. I think a Mobius (or Supra) will appropriate bells & whistles would do as good if not better. The saved money alone would make me feel a whole lot better, especially in the middle of winter when it's storming outside!
I could never, ever bring myself to spend in the 60000 range for any boat that I couldn't sleep on. I am sorry but the price is not justifiable. IMO it is a supreme waste of money... kind of like your Porsche (my opinion remember). I think there are much better uses of money, no matter how rich a person is.
In fact, at lunch today my boss and I saw a CL55 AMG. We both agreed that it is a nice car, but also agreed that it was a misuse of good money. My boss could buy that car and not blink twice, but as a financial guru he understands how frivolous that car was, and he is more than happy driving his kinda beat up 93 SC400. The way I see it, the same theory should be applied when buying boats. _________________

To answer that question - of course I would take the SANTE if we are talking both boats in the same condition. If I could pay $30000 for a 2002 Mercedes S500 or $30000 for a 2002 Lincoln Towncar, which one do you think I am pickin??
You know what though, both cars would get me where I am going and do it in style _________________

Like chavez said, its all personal preference. They are very nice boats, with a decent wake. If money were no object, I would PERSONALLY not buy a CC. I have ridden behind few kinds of wakeboard boats(wakesetter, 02'xstar,03' b-52, 03' sante, 02'? gekko g3, 99' tige rider edition, 03' 23v riders edition). My personal pick out of all of them would be the 23v. Main reasons being: Interior space(huge!) big solid wake, adjustability of wake for all riders(taps), and a solid ride through choppy waters. The sante I rode in/behind (i think it was a 210) had a good wake, but the inside was really small, especially after being in the 22v. All and all to each his own. _________________ My Gallery

.. have never seen a CC 226 except at boat show .. _________________ zeke |

My friend has one Air Nautique 226 Team Edition, treats it like crap though lol, kinda sad, his idea of tying it up is throwing a rope with a loop on it over the nearest pole, just one, and not even take out the slack in the line |

Harrison256, this thread is a year and a half old. But, it was funny to look over and see HYPERLITE_103 trying to build his post count, and only ending up with 90 when he was ran off. But, old thread none the less. My father has a 04 SAN TE and I purchased a 05 Sea Ray over the summer. I have had the chance to ride just about every wake specific boat under the sun, and would say that I actually prefer the wake shape on the BU VLX the best. The SAN throws up a steep wake, which is kick ass for some, but I like mine to be a tad easier on the joints after 3 major knee surgeries.G Damnit, this is an old ass thread. _________________
