no a bigger board may be better for you though. if you like the feel though go with it. i weigh 150 and ride the motive 128 but its real loose and i dont get that much pop so im gonna get a bigger board. |

I was 210+ when I had the Belmont 134 (same as the motive) rode it fine. But then I moved to bigger boards (but now weight 180). I usually stick around the 140cm area. I would say you might feel more comfortable on a bigger board, maybe a motive 140. |

HyperRash, im not sure. they have a hyperlite demo day in may around here and i was planning on riding a bunch of boards during that. Then based on that make my decision. The motive is the only board ive ridden so i dont know if i like a board with 3 stage continuous etc. as far as size goes im thinking between 136 to 142 that way ill still have room to grow. |

I'm looking at a 141 cm and I weight 145lbs. I think a 138 would be ideal but I don't want to buy another board two summers from now once I put on some weight. |

Thats a really good idea Jeffrey, thats what I'd do unless I had the money to buy a new board every summer |

I think that's a completely worthless comment. That idea holds no value.
1. your board will be outdated by then
2. there are a lot of boards on the market that may actually fit your style and ability better than what you have now.
3. You can't tell how long that board is going to last. ie. it may break
4. Why set a 2 season time frame? You may find something better before then or you might ride it longer. _________________

kswiss, who pissed in your cheerios?
1.the motive shape has been around for at least four seasons i dont think another two and it will be outdated.
2. who said the motive didn't fit his style perfectly.
3. hes a newbie (im assuming this since hes posting in the newbie forum)hes probably not hitting sliders or doing tricks big enough to break a board.
4. its called a goal. if something really good comes along hes probably going to jump on it and if he cant find a better board in two seasons he'll probably wait.
fyi i think your comment was worthless. your ideas hold no value. |

THC, yeah, I did come off as an ass. I didn't mean it that way, but I think that's the wrong way about going through new gear.

I should have said:
Although that's a decent plan, you probably won't have much success in sticking to it because.......
and yes, I was in a shitty mood. Shouldn't have taken it out in here. _________________

I'm 5'10" and 185. I have a 03' vision 135, a 00' phatty 132, and a 99' super squirt 128. I spent about half of last year on the vision, and the other half on the 128 and the 132. Its all personal preference no matter what size the board is and how outdated it is. Just for extra info, I've been riding for 5 years and I've ridden a lot of boards from all brands and all sizes. _________________ My Gallery
