There are a couple things you need to consider when determining what size you need. First, are you still growing? If so, how long do you want this board to last? If you're growing quickly, and get a board on the small side, you'll outgrow it quickly. I'd personally recommend getting a board that isn't considered to be a "beginner" board so you don't outgrow it ability-wise pretty quickly and end up needing to get another board. For someone 105lbs, though, I'd say that you could ride a board anywhere from about a 122-132cm range. Feel free to email me direct if you'd like some more direct answers to questions you might have. _________________ Mike Dick

In terms of size you're covered here, but you might wanna do more research into a board before you buy it in terms of rockers, shape, and edge hold. _________________ "I knew those girls were pros, but don't tell Turtle, it'll break his heart." - Drama, Entourage |

Yup, The Monkey Ninja is right. Length is only one consideration. You also have to think about what kind of boat you ride behind and style. BUT, since you're in the newbie forum, I'm guessing that you are probably just learning. In that case, you should look for a user friendly learning board - 128-133, continuous rocker. There are some great boards from previous years that you could find really cheap : Hyperlite Belmont 131 comes to mind. |

I am 5' 2" 95 lbs. and i ride a Hyperlite Juvi 131. I started last year and this board has been awesome for learning! This is the board i would recomend to someone like u or me cuz it has a very forging continous rocker, and it gets good pop aslo. Yeah and it's one of the lower end boards but it's still awesome and you can find it really cheap compared to some of the higher end boards. I only paid $300 for the board and the Spin bindings, and I know a lot of people say they're not good bindings but i think they work good.
Yeah dude good luck finding the board for you!

Here's the address of the new Juvi at wakeside for $260 but i bet u could find last year's for less. The spin bindings shouldn't cost that much. _________________

yea, the juvi/fluid/vero are really solid boards to be learning on. I would definitly agree with seedickride, if you are still growing you may want a board that will last a bit longer, especially if you are a newbie... |

I'm in this dillema too, I have been going for a while though and am growing out of my board. I have a Juvi 134 (something like that) and I'm 6'5. What's a new good length to go on, I wanna keep it somewhat short and somewhat cheap. I'm gonna go check out some of the shops around here to get some prices and stuff, but just some advice.
edit: I should add im 6'5 190 lbs and 16 so there might be room for more growing, dont know if I'm done yet. |

At your height/weight combination, I'd recommend something at least 140cm. _________________ Mike Dick
