I bought a Wakeboard Yesterday, went to the river and managed to get up as well as cross the wake by turning the opposite way, I also managed to easily do some flat 180 turns, Question is I have no idea what I am doing or what technique you need as even managing to do the afore mentioned I am very unstable and it is by sheer luck I am actualy up and about. No one in my group has any knowledge of this at all
All I require initially is the basic technique to wakeboard as in lean forward, back hands, hips etc.
Any help would be appreciated |

Hi Rascal,
You should check out our progressive edging articles in our Tricks section at http://www.wakeboarder.com/tricks/tricks.phtml.
Otherwise, you might want to try buying an instructional video, or trying to find someone in your local area who can teach you the basics. It's pretty hard to just type all the things you'll need to learn. _________________ Pat McCarthy |

Thank you
Your edging articles are great but just don't gibve you things like basic correct posture etc. I will try finding some local people or just search the web for an article
Thank you |

Yeah, you're going to have a tough time finding any super-basic info like that on the web. We're hoping to write some in-depth articles about all the very basic things soon. _________________ Pat McCarthy |

Hey Rascal,
Like Headless says, get Higher Education - it expains some of the "lingo" as well as showing you in "real time" how to do each move - from the beginner to the accomplished - great video - get it, you'll not be disappointed - or you can come by my house and watch it...
Good luck with your boarding, just don't get frustrated - start with the basics - get them down solid, then start progressing... it's all good

Hey Wes
Thanks for the offer but I am an 18 hour flight from you (South Africa)
I agree with you about getting the basics solid, I do get frustrated cos I like doing things well from word go.
I will definately invest in HE Are there different releases or is it only one HE?

| Rascal, there is Higher Education Volume 1 & 2. One goes over basics and easy to somewhat intermediate tricks. Volume 2 goes into more advanced tricks. You can get both 1 & 2 on a single dvd for about $30 US. |
