Ok me and my fellow San Jac riders have a crazy slider design I dont have any drawings or anything but see if you get what I'm saying ok an A fram like a normal A frame then at the end after the downslope shorten the down slope like 2 feet off the water and add another FLAT 20 ft section so it goes 15 ft up then 15 across then 10 down the 20 across is that possible or what if we made it a drop off from the down slope to the flat bar is that possible or M I looking at a quick broken board? Give me ur thoughts guys!

I think you might mean something like this, in which case it's entirely possible Wink

Here's a pic off of www.wakestock.com of a rail at wakestock. It might be something like what you're talking about, with an extra downslope.

There is (or was until a couple of weeks ago) a slider like that on Lake Lewisville here in dallas. Went up out of the water to about 10' then a 2' gap then a straight section about 15' long with a little kick on the end about 2' tall.

I propose that the down rail after your gap from the flat bar be slightly lower....just in case the ollie you do doesn't work..but why make it eaisier?! go for it I reckon. I'd be keen

I want the down slope to be lower but maybe like 2 or 3 ft out there so you have to go out and down not just down OR out out what about like a up slope like the first part of an a fram and then a gap to a flat bat attached to another kin up to either a gap to down slope or nuthing and just have a huge drop off. i have these all drawn out if you dont quite know what I mean im telling you IM me at Hoochieglider357 Cool

i haven't decided but I think that it will be in the ground becuase when the river gets rain it rushes so it will be a little damaged but fixable and wont just break the ropes and float off!! plus the bottom of the river is pretty hard so it will hold good

Some pros in Australia built a slider like that but hit it from the other direction so they were jumping up to the flat bar and not down. I don't have any pics but some other aussies on this site probably do somewhere.

going up to flat and then trying to gap down makes no sense. If u start losing speed or slip on the top ur totally screwed when it comes to makin that gap even though it is short. Now taking the incline up to gap to flat adn then dpwn would make more sense since u would just be hittin it backwards. There are a lot of better ideas of sliders to build than to just take original stuff and throw a gap in it. its a lot harder and more stylish to hit or double kink and throw in all types of variations then puttin a 2ft gap that isnt going to do anything. thats just like a bump that u have to hop over and gives u no room to do anything might as well just make that hop without the gap and throw in a bs to fs or something.

If thats what you think then so be it, but I thought it was pretty cool. I'm not sure if you knew what I was saying though. The rider rode up the short slope, gapped about 1m up and 10m across, then landed on the highest flat section and either slid down the long slope or ollied to the water. So its not a mini 2ft hop, its a BIG gap. I can sorta see where you're coming from though cause most of the riders were looking more forward to hitting the A-Frame that they also made because more variations were likely. Here's the article if you still want to know more.

Yeah me and my buddies having started discussing plans to build that M slider Pat built at teh Orlando stop where you had to transfer up to it. I never said dumassonwheels89, ideas were bad. Hes got some really good stuff and we talk about it all the time. Gaps are cool but personally I like more upslopes with kinks, things to gap all over it and throw in all kinds of variations. Then if i dont feel like gappin it that day bs up,fs the flat and up to nosepress the top flat then bs down. your just hoppin all over the thing but dont have to worry the whole time about making the gap. I do want a big gap slider just like the one in Incomplete at Parks House on the end of the dock. My biggest thing with building gap sliders especially where we live are all these newbies that will go and try it after we say not to and get hurt really bad. One guy hit a main support of our double kink and snapped his tibia clean in half after we said to stay off because it was his first slider. Youll learn one way or the other

Yeah that is a sick slider. We have the same thing as the X-Air rail without the downslope because we didnt have the $ or time and wanted to start hittin it.
