From some small shop website -
"Wakeboard - AIR PROFILE
Cosmic Ocean
Best value wakeboards available. These boards perform great, and yet don't break the bank to purchase.
Good overall dimensions of length, width, rocker and weight makes learning easy, and yet still perform as your boarding skills increase and you're completing 180's and 360's
Two versatile binding systems available: Two piece overlay or Quadreflex boot adjustable plates."

Hydroslide my ass
I actually had an airprofile before I bought a new board this season. For the price, they do a good job. They are a hard core beginner board though. Or, good for a family who is not big on the sport.
I learned how to ride switch, do 180s and grabs on it. w2w also, that sort of thing.
So all in all, for the price, they arent bad. The bindings need work though. they are sandal wrap and the suck. get some super suctions for 100 bucks at buywake.com and give someone a good beginner setup.
ADVANCED RIDERS - you would be pissed off with this kind of board. It doesnt release and perform as well. Remember what that SCOTT A said about those faceplants, cause you will get em

How did you rip the bindings?? They are just 2 velcro straps that wrap around your foot. If anything, the straps just came apart and you had to revelcro them. That is, unless, you tore the velcro off, but I dont see how.......

How could you rip this?? You foot prolly just slid out or somethin. Or the velcro came loose. Look at the pic... As far as I know, this is the only AP binding made until the 03 stuff came out. (dont ask how I know that)

Damn scott a, put me on the spot.............
Thats all I used to ride. When I first started riding boards, my first one was an Air Profile package that came from "Play it again Sports."
Because, I didnt know anything baout the sport, and none of my friends rode, I was by myself. I actually did research on AP stuff and that was how I found that out.
It wasnt till I got on WB.com that I knew of other boards. It wasnt till then when I actually wanted to progress and found out that AP was actually not that great.
But all this info could be wrong. I was younger then and sort of skimmed through stuff and never actually read it. So I could be wrong on everything I have just typed....

Are you for real??
Man, the only wakeboard I have seen that is made by hydroslide was at Wallmart and it look like it was 2 1/2" thick!!! made just like the kneeboards!!!
How could that be better then anything???
Well ok, if there was no other wakeboards on the earth,
Then it would be better then nothing!!!
Maybe I have not seen thier good products???
peace

wesgardner, I think your right because at wakeboard camp this little idiot had a hydroslide that was like 146 cm and he was like 3 feet tall and he kept saying how it was the best board, then I looked at it closely and it said air profile on the side and I picked it up and it weighed like 40 pounds.

The overlay is cheap and easily ripped. I went up for a just came down hard and the overlay ripped right through the screws where it's held down, plus about five years ago that velcro didn't go all the way through to be screwed down. It was just sewn on the overlay in about 2 or 3 inches

Heysmlparksguy133,
As well as my kids, the ole AP was my first ride, sandle bindings and all, we use it as a beginner board now (with huge fins glued on so it can't be ridden switch) - I've introduced several folks to the sport with this dinosaur...but Hey, if it gets 'em hooked and they're out on the water, it can't be but so bad....

I have an airprofile I have been learning on for a couple years. I agree the bindings are terrible and have added extra velcro straps to get me by while i decide if wake boarding is for me. i am really enjoying it now.
Does anyone know if any kind of main brand bindings will fit the board. trying to save money and get bindings then decide what kind of new board to get. Any assistance would be great

The Air Profile by Nash/Hydroslide follows the industry standard binding hole pattern. Any standardized bindings will fit. Hydroslide does make better bindings called a Holdum. They are lace-ups and are similar to the laceups available from most other manufacturers. They are less expensive, however.

barrygtx, EBAY!
Look for some HL Spin's or similar products from LF, CWB, etc., you should be able to get them super cheap and they are good for entry level up to intermediate riders.

Look at all the online stores they are trying to get rid of the 03 stuff and a lot of it is cheap.
