I don't have any local rides. I used to ride with this shop a bit and that was one hour and 15 minutes away. This summer I will be treking to grant's phat pond, which is an hour away. My cottage is 2.5 hours away and this past summer I made a number of one day trips to get some riding in. I am hoping my snowboard shop will get a boat because then I will be able to ride with them. |

I live about a mile from where I put in. But, I have to drive about a 5 mile round trip into town to get gas when I need it. It sure is a bummer!

2 hours to my dads house on the coast, from there its 5 minutes to the river. I usually meet friends up there and we ride for 2 or 3 days. There is another river closer, but I've got no crew there. _________________ Terminate high thinking |

I mostly ride on the Willamette River in Portland. We moor our boat about 30 minutes away from my house at the Charbonneau Boatworks. Anyone else around that area? |

I am about 2 1/2 hours from the lake I ride at. I usually go up on Friday nights, and head home on sunday. I try to spend longer weekends up there though. _________________ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Benjamin Franklin

I used to drive 2 hours to get to the Illinois river, now I drive about 20 minutes to the Fox.... much more dirty, more boat traffic on the weekends, but being only 20 minutes away makes it possible to go both before and after work, many times on the same day.

I live across the street from Cedar Lake, the boat ramp is about an 1/8 mile out the door. But my in-laws live about 20 mins away on a private lake, that's were the MC is, so that's were we ride mostly. |

We either drive about 15 min or go to my friends lake house that is about 20 min away. Either way the distance is not too far. There is another lake that is about 10 from us, but we do not usually got to Lake Austin. _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4. I live about a mile away from our local lake. Unfortunatly my boat is to big for the lake due to their restrictions. Local waterways are about 25 min dirve. |

Hey electricsnow, have you heard the rumor that Grant's is putting in a cable system? Do you know if this is true? By the way, it only took me like 10 months but I am finally putting my site together. It has a long way to go with graphics and stuff and it's not at it'd final destination. buy you can check it out at http://www.angelanthony.com/waketimes/. |

It takes me about 20 minutes to get to my lake. I feel for you guys having to travel an hour or more to ride, that sucks. And those of you with a lake in your backyard.... YOU SUCK! haha, j/k. I'm soooo jealous. One day I'll get to live on a lake, one day. |

Im about 25 minutes to the ramp at Lake Austin, 45 minutes from the cable at TSR and about 30 minutes from lake granger, Last but not least, about an hour to the Perd, or 30 minutes from my girls house, however you want to look at it. _________________ Im going muddin at waketoberfest 2004

I'm almost 2 hours from Greeson and Degray and a little over 2 hours from the LSF site in Monroe, LA. If I'm lucky, I can spend the night and get in a couple days riding on a weekend, otherwise I just make a day trip of it. _________________ fropappy |

madcat, I have not heard that rumor. Grant never hinted to the idea of putting in a cable because he had just bought a malibu to use as a boat at the lake in case he didn't have a boat deal worked out with anyone (some how mastercraft sort of screwed him over). That would be kind of crazy just because the lake is kind of small, but at the same time it would be pretty cool because of the endless rides, so to speak. Either way, it should be cool to see what the spring will bring at grant's.
I will also check out your site as soon as I get a chance. It's cool that you're working on it, so good luck! _________________ J.L.A. Is Snowboarding
