I was just curious since I've never been into skateboarding before...whats the cost of a basic/beginner setup?

I've wake and snowboarded now and really have a thing for board sports now...looking into getting into skateboarding now. For the longest time I just didn't understand it and would refer to skaters as "wood pushers" but now I'm thinkin of trying it out.

Both of these places have good boards for around $100 CCS has a good what to buy if you're not sure exactly what you want. Try it out I just got into it, its alot harder than it looks.

I dunno...me and my friends just always called skaters that. Never really seemed like a "negative" term for skaters, although I'm sure it could be considered that. So I guess if someone were to call me something because I wake/snowboard....it's all good, if I can get into skateboarding and enjoy it my friends can call me a wood pusher I dont care Twisted Evil

Almost forgot...thanks for the links guys

Just do a search on www.google.com for "online skate shops" and you'll get a bunch.

I wouldnt really be offended if some one called me a wood pusher, because i know that that person could never do it nor have the guts to do it.
