Move back further on your board, try and balance over the rear truck before you jump. This will stop you from falling off the front of the board when you ollie.

Learn to ollie moving ASAP, or else you will develop bad habits early on (like turning the board when you ollie) and they will be hard to break. It helps to learn to ollie over something, like a line on the ground or a hose or something, it gives you something to focus on during the approach.

Just keep practicing. I think when you start moving you start worrying a lot about falling. So you're so focused on that that you forget to use good technique when ollieing. It comes with time, just keep at it.

My nollie is higher than ollie, probably beacause you focus more on technique. That's only when I'm moving slowly though.

I found that if you just try to ollie while moving, you'll never get as high as if you try to ollie over something, whether it be a crack, curb, rock, cone or whatever. It makes you more ready at the right moment mentally, as well as setting a goal for the needed height.
