i bough a pair of loud liquid on ebay this past winter for $175 hook up a 200 watt amp and they are very loud you can hear them just fine while riding. they came with kicker speakers. i'm very happy with mine at a 1/4 of the price Laughing mine came in white tubes witch is fine by me being that my tower is white. no they don't have alot of bling but i couldn't bring my self to spending an extra $500 on bling alone

How difficult is it to hook these up (wiring etc...). Do you have any tips to make it easy?

Find a rack to mount on your tower that you like. Then you can add any kind of speakers you want in them. The chances that they will get wet is slip because they are so high up. The only tricky part about the installation is wiring through the tower. Unless you are confedent about what you are doing, I would take it to a shop and have them do it.

Any info on brands that are better than others? In looking around there are a lot of different choices.

We love our Deafcons III. We're going to replace our 6 boat speakers with kicker, not sure which one though

Use a shop vac to pull some thread through the tower from the top down. Then attache wire to thread and pull through. Not to hard to do.

I ride the ocean and i wanna hook my boat up with a sound system. Will the salt do a job on my tower speakers and amp? And since its so choppy and stuff what if they get a little spray on them?

i think I've decided to go w/ some Deafcon II's.....but those prices are pretty high...$600 something. Is that for a pair? that would make the price pretty high if that's for one. any feedback is appreciated.

I picked these boss b-50s cheap as hell from ebay. Powdercoated to match with the light bar.

The Orion 6.5"s are actually seperates mounted as a coax, and they have a seperate crossover for the directional tweeter. They are 3ohm speakers instead of 4, so they pull a little more power out of the amps. I amp running four on my tower and four in the boat. They are sweet.
