Always board shorts, girl's short or guy's long with a thong. I like the length of the long ones, but am too cheap to buy girl ones. (I can get guy ones for $5 - $15 on sale). I wear water sports tops. Comfy and supportive (remember I've got 3 kids - LOL). Laughing

How in the world can anyone not wear boardshorts? its a must, without them i feel naked. and plus without them i get major wedges Shocked ! The long shorts are way more comfortable to be in off and on the water.

Hannah 12,

If you’re willing to go beyond shopping online, you can look at some discount stores. I live in the Midwest and we've got discount stores like Marshalls, Steinmart, TJMaxx etc. Husband and I had good success buying end of the year long board shorts. $10 - $20 bucks. American Eagle (AE) was $10 bucks, Quick Silver was $20 bucks. Their not billabong, but still very stylish and fit well.

Only problem, these items are very seasonal and it's a crapshoot in regards to sizes. He's a large - no problem.....I'm a small girl - could only find short ones for me. Just be willing to devote some time to look around.

Just my 2cents worth from your local bargain hunter! Happy shopping!

No shorts = lake enema. NOT a good feeling ladies! Also, it's probably all in my mind, but long board shorts give me more confidence to try to go bigger - more material covering your skin when it smacks the water (if you bust - which I do a lot). Progression can be such a head game. The more confident you feel, the better you ride and more stuff you try.
