I remember that guy. The "2002" 1986 Malibu Skier, which was super pimped for an old boat. He was selling it to get coin so he could start some boat company. He was from somwhere in Cali. I'm curious to know whatever happened w/it too. |

How would you go about starting you own boat company? You would need a hell of a lot of coin just to get the first prototype built, let alone development and marketing. It just seems to me that you have to have some serios backing and expect to lose money for at least the first few years. The boats would have to be almost entirely handmade to begin with, unless you have the machines, and handmade = EXPENSIVE.
Anyone work in the industry or know the story of some of these boat companys? _________________ Terminate high thinking |

If you had the right connections you could buy a hull from say Mastercraft then add all the other stuff yo self.... I know my OLD boat was a knock off Mastercraft, it was made by Fine-line or something.. they bought hulls from MC and completed the rest with their own or bought parts.
