Girls Day Out Weekend 2003

WakeChicks announces the 2003 Girls Day Out weekend in Austin, Texas, September 5 – 7, 2003. Girls of all ages are invited to attend this riding event with the mission of having fun, learning and meeting other women riders from all over the country with the same passion of wakeboarding, wakeskating and wakesurfing.

The weekend will kick off at Texas Ski Ranch on Friday, September 5. Texas Ski Ranch is the first action sport lifestyle venue of it’s kind in the US hosting a cable toway system, boat lake, skate park, motocross track, pro shop, restaurant and beach area catering to those with a passion for the active lifestyle. Girls of all ages are invited to attend any of the events. TSR will host free skate and wake clinics, plus discounted cable, boat, night riding and wake surfing pulls, as well as a beach party Friday night.

Saturday brings time on the open water on Lake Austin, with girls matched up for the day session in the best towboats the industry has to offer. Girls can share their expertise about riding, driving, equipment, etc. After the session, an after ride party will be hosted for girls and friends.

Sunday wraps up with more riding at Texas Ski Ranch. And as always, guys, come on out and enjoy the scenery!

Saturday Girls Day Out on Lake Austin
Ride with the girls for a day of fun! Check in 9 am, riding 10am – 2pm, with after-ride party, food, beverages and music, 2 – 4pm for WakeChicks and Friends!

*$35 per rider includes riding session, goody bag, plus party
*Limited to first 80 prepaid riders. After 80, we will take a waitlist, based on space availability.
*To maximize riding time, we will have one long session and each boat group can create their own schedule including breaks, time on/off water, and informally swapping or exchanging riders from one boat to the other until approximately 2pm, depending on group’s needs.
*Lunch, drink, party and raffle will follow riding till 4pm
*Event will take place at the Steiner Ranch Marina Club, off Quinlan Park Rd. on the upper end of Lake Austin.

Friday and Sunday @ Texas Ski Ranch

Girls Ride at half price on Cable Lake on all weekend day sessions (till 8:30pm! Experience one of only 4 other cable toways in the US at TSR! PLUS, if you’ve never ridden at night, now’s the time! Enjoy TSR’s cable lake night session with a special WakeChicks rate: $13 for 9pm – midnight cable sessions Friday and Saturday (Full Price for Guys.)

Boat Lake Token Rides: Special $10 for 10 minutes of riding fun behind a Mastercraft on the Boat Lake! Wakeboard, wakeskate, try an obstacle! Ride with other girls who love the sport!

Skate Sessions: Get pointers from the TSR Skate Team on inline and skateboard techniques that will improve your water riding! Bring your own wheels; Girls SKATE FREE!

WakeSurf Night Session Friday 9pm – Midnight: Surf under the stars at TSR! $5 token gets you a 10-minute wakesurf ride you’ll never forget!

Friday Night Beach Party @ CoCoNutz, TSR’s beach bar and grill! Party at CoCoNutz, DJ’s, beach volleyball and lounging! WakeChicks receive drink specials (must show WakeChick riders’ wristband for drink special). Guys, come on out and enjoy the fun and riding!

The Board Shop @ TSR: Find the latest in equipment, gear, beach and surf fashions. Special WakeChicks discounts throughout the weekend. (The Board Shop also rents boards, helmets and demo gear!)

No preregistration necessary for Texas Ski Ranch riding.
Just show up & bring your friends!

Texas Ski Ranch Safety
---Helmets are required for everyone on the cable lake and anyone hitting obstacles. Bring your own or rent one at TSR for $5.
---The Skate Park requires helmets for all riders. If you’re under 18, wrist guards, kneepads and elbow pads are also required.
---TSR requires everyone participating in an activity to complete a waiver before riding. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must also sign. If parent or guardian will not be present at TSR with you, please download a waiver at www.texasskiranch.com and have it signed and notarized.
---No drinking and riding.
