New ,for me Surf, boat.

I am sure this question has been asked a thousand times and there are a thousand answers/opinions. I am in the market for a surf boat boat. 3 main priorities: Good surf wake, must be 23ft or larger, 60k or below. I have found boats that fit my criteria, but I have 1 large question. Would I be better to go with a 10 yearish old Mastercraft, Malibu, Centurion..ect or a 2-5year old Moomba, Supreme, or Axis? I do not have to have a fancy interior, digital screens ..ect I just want a good surf wave. I am not interested in wakeboarding, got out of that 10 yrs ago....hurts to dang much. I would be willing to, in time upgrade with a surf gate, extra ballast ect. I guess I am wondering if the newer hulls are that much better for surfing or if its all about ballast, gates, fine tuning...ect?

I would start looking at the Malibu/Axis boats with surf gate. The T23 would be a great boat and you can find those in your price range. Since you are buying used make sure that the boat already has the plug and play installed and you should be set for surfing.
