I spent the last year in OKC once a month. Took in a number of OKC games and wore out all the places to eat downtown.

I think they are going to re-up for another year so I might be spending more time in OKC in 2019.

Cool, let me know if that happens...maybe we can meet up for a drink or something.

I do too - it came up in conversation with someone today somehow, so thought I'd log in and see what's up.

I quit my job after 15 years yesterday. Strange feeling being unemployed.

I found a better opportunity that allows me to work remotely, plan to work 3-4 months a year from the Bahamas, we enjoyed it there.

Good for you Rampage.....

I have a Senior and one in college.

We have talked about working remote for the summers. Maybe not Bahamas remote but somewhere other than Austin.

my current physical hobby/activity is riding bmx cruisers. ride w/ a crew here in austin that has regular rides every other sunday, and other pop-ups and events occasionally - usually 15-20 strong. also do the much larger thursday night social ride that has 2-300 during the summer on a pretty regular basis.

this week, we had both the thurs and sun rides and a local bike shop brought this guy in for a ride/party on friday and he rode w/ us all weekend long: www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5NHyeF8q3c
sponsored se rider: https://peopleforbikes.org/blog/bike-brand-goes-viral/
signature bike: http://www.sebikes.com/bikes/cat/retro-series/dblocks-big-ripper-29

got a lot of miles in this week, and with the living legend of our sport - or whatever it is. kind of like riding w/ parks or shapiro or byerly back in the day. dude is ridiculous - like a video game where physics don't apply. nice guy too, and only 29 yrs old, just travelling from city to city, riding wheelies better than anyone else ever.

from thurs night: you can actually catch a glimpse of me in this one as the cameraguy pulls up to the light

That is cool. What is the deal with the bigger back tires than your normal BMX bike?

both tires are bigger, not just the back ones.

bigger because we're not in high school any more...have you tried to ride a 20" bmx lately? tiny! 26" is the same size tire as traditional mountain bikes, so it's the easier roll, bigger cockpit of a mtb in a bmx config/geometry. around the time mtb started looking at 29" wheels, and then 27.5", the bmx builders followed suit. you can get a haro rs1 in a 29" now, which is pretty cool.

my bike is a 26" se om flyer that is about 1/3 of the way through it's build. going for a 79 bandit trans am theme w/ 90% black, 10% gold. got bars, stem, headset, seatpost, seat clamp and brakes swapped. gotta wait for the money fairy for wheels and drivetrain upgrades. would love to have a 29" big ripper as well, but, same money fairy and all that...

got the bike build completed. only thing left to do is the custom decals, but it's tough finding gold foil/chrome.

been putting in the miles lately too. knocked down about 150 in the last 2 weeks. pretty cool app that tracks them:

I didn't even know people did that JT. Looks pretty sick.
I'm just stopping in to say hello otherwise as was reminded of this site yesterday at my friend's, Frank's, birthday.
I met frank on this site about 15 or so years ago when he was looking for someone to ride with when visiting my area in Florida from Boston. We've been great friends for a very long time now. He moved here years ago but the point is this site has brought a lot of people together. When people ask how we became friends I always say "on a wakeboarding dating site" LOLOL.
Anyways, happy fathers day to you fathers.

We have made a number of couples!

I met up with Pat and Joe a month ago when they were here on business.

Most of us have not seen a Wakeboard in years but glad to see our connections are still strong.

Love it! That’s serious throwback Burt.

Nice on the riding and lost lbs. I need to change something up, diet and exercise have to changed, but I’m going the wrong way the past 4 years at a rate of 5lbs a year. Confused
