Just happy to the my Rams back in LA where they belong. Time to earn that Carls Jr hamburger Todd.

My super-early SB prediction is Pats v Panthers. Not exactly a longshot prediction. Could easily see Seattle or maybe even Arizona in there on the NFC side instead. Maybe Pit for the AFC, but prob not.

Okie Boarder, got burned by the Pack last year. Would be happy to see it, but not predicting it. No thanks.

Can't wait either. I'm with EJ, basking in the big win last year. However I don't like the chances this year without a QB.

Side note. I'm going to a couple of games this year. Sep 18th in Phoenix and another game in Seattle probably in Dec. Where's the best place to find tickets? NFL ticket exchange?

They looked pretty bad, but I'll still stand behind it for now and say yes. I'm a Patriot fan as well, so I was happy to see NE win though.

11/19 for 103 yards isn't exactly making anyone look stupid. He did have one good run for a TD. He did what he needed to do, not turn the ball over.

6 winning seasons out of 22. so, yeah....

missed the segment on cowherd yesterday where he was going to spill the beans on why he'll always have a job in the nfl. he did mention that fisher had taken a lot of bullets for the nfl - possibly drafting michael sam when no one else would, taking on hard knocks this season, and some other one i'm forgetting now, but those weren't the big one he was talking about.

I don't doubt Fisher will have a spot in the NFL. Rules committee type stuff would make sense.

No way he lasted this long with such stuff performance without having some dirt or being a made guy.

Dude is just not a head coach. He might be an ok DC. Maybe. I wonder if Lame Kiffin needs some help at FAU? Laughing

Vegas? Really? I don't get how they think they are going to be better in Vegas than Oakland.

And let's not forget that Vegas/Henderson/NLV is a sizeable metro area (similar to Austin). The Raiders are the defacto home NFL team there now anyhow: IMO more Raider fans there than any other team. Plus, Raider fan will road trip that no sweat. LA->LV is under 4 hours. OAK->LV is 8 hours (but I've done it in as little as 7). Flights are under 200 R/T and it's just over an hour from the bay and less than an hour from LA. Vegas will get good pull both from home crowd and the away crowd. It just makes sense...

I know Raiders fans are a rowdy bunch, but an 8 hour drive sounds unreasonable. And I'm a 5 hour drive from anywhere worth going.

I've never thought about it, but it does make a lot of sense to have an NFL team in Vegas. Lots of people looking for an excuse to go to Vegas. I bet Vegas will be the best attended NFL venue by away team fans.

ohsix, that's why I mentioned flight times. The drive really isn't horrible, especially if you have a long weekend planned around it. But flights... it's under $200 almost always, and as low as $100 at times. Get a package deal for hotel and such and it's doable for $300pp from NorCal. It's even cheaper from the LA area, which has a massive Raiders fan base.

I'm not saying they will hit every home game, but it's not unreasonable to hit maybe one or two. Between LA Raiders fan and NorCal Raiders fan, along with the already built-in Las Vegas Raiders fan and away team fans, I also don't foresee a huge problem filling the venue.

The NFL might have to pony up a bit more to make it work now that Adelson backed out, but I think they will get it done.
