It was #&@)@) awesome. We got a full tour of the Renault garage. I wasn't allowed to take photos inside the garage, but we got to see the spare engines up close, the gearbox and we got to watch them prep the cars for qualifying. This is Kevin Magnussen's car.

We walked around downtown a bit. That was interesting.

We were pretty beat by the time we left the track each day.

We hung out in the Bat Bar on 6th for awhile.

I do have to say - I have had my fill of man buns and skinny jeans.

We really liked Austin. If I was forced to move to Texas, that's where I'd want to live. Smile

It must be surface of the sun hot in the summer, though.

Your top 10 F1 tracks of the last 10 seasons

F1 Fanatic readers have scored 190 rounds of the world championship since we began our Rate the Race feature 10 years ago.

Which of the 28 tracks which held those races produced the best races on average? The numbers have been crunched and here’s the verdict – with a few surprises on the way.

3. Circuit of the Americas
Average race rating: 7.40/10
Highest race rating: 9.10/10 (2015 United States Grand Prix)

Since its debut on the calendar in 2012 the Circuit of the Americas has carved out a reputation as being the best of the modern iteration of tracks. As this year’s race showed, track limit concerns remain a bugbear, but the same is true of most new circuits.

The layout blends both a worthy driving challenge – few other tracks have a sequence of bends to rival COTA’s opening sector – and good opportunities for overtaking. The 2015 race also arguably demonstrated the benefits of keeping pre-race practice to a minimum. Rain limited running on Friday and Saturday, and the resulting race was a cracker. Food for thought?

I love my annual trip to COTA. We have a great time out there at the race. Looking forward to next year as I think my son will be old enough to go and enjoy it.

Never thought I would say this. But, thank God for Taylor Swift and Timberlake. They saved COTA's ass.

JT, will be in a PCA club race out there 3/2-4 in case you get bored and feel like stopping by. Qualifying and 2 sprints (30 minutes) on Saturday. Enduro (60 minutes) on Sunday.

The ticket sales from the concerts? There were a ton of people at JT. That's actually a good outdoor concert venue. we were WAY in the back and still enjoyed JT.

for now. lots of rumors that even this year's race is only penciled in. if it happens, i'd bet on it being the last one, at least for a while.

That would suck. But, I guess there is Mexico City.

Moved from DE's to actually racing so bought a Spec Boxster. Mine is the red one, second from the left...even though I didn't own it at the time:

By far the most fun car I have ever driven and has taught me so much about driving.

Could be worse ways to spend a weekend. Good on you, Swass. Good to see you’re still kicking.
