was also michigan's oc when appst beat them 9 years to the day (thurs).
be interesting to see if tenn drops in the polls. needing ot and opponent errors to steal a game at home vs a g5 team...not top10 material. |
Really??
I wasn't aware he was the OC then. That's pretty funny. And yes we should drop in the polls. Only question is how far. I'm thinking around 15th. |

The Utes?
Excited for this USC vs Alabama game!
Josh Rosen, a lot of yards, a lot of throws to the other team. Not impressed... He'll probably crush the Utes. |

I've totally wasted September 2nd 2016. Have a solid 8 hours of college football in me. Did make it to the gym early and taped a stick. |

I'm actually rooting for the other UT so we don't have to listen to ESPN talk about how good Notre Dame is for the rest of the season. |

Charlie Strong has the Longhorns pointed in the right direction. That Fr. QB is a player and Swoops as a change up is strong. I HATE ND, but I think they can play, really STRONG win.

I thought they blew it when they had the extra point blocked and returned, but they still pulled it out. Best game of opening weekend by far. |

Yeah it definitely was a fun game to watch! I have a few friends going to the FSU game tonight in Orlando. Looking forward to watching this game tonight, too!
Football season truly is the most wonderful time of the year. |

The Team You Should Know About, But Probably Don't: Texas State. If you are a regular reader of the Bottom 10 (and thanks if you are) then you are a little familiar with the Texas State. It used to live in that neighborhood. Not anymore. On Saturday Texas State won the Bobcat Bowl over Ohio (it's not actually called that, but I'm calling it that because the schools are Bobcats) in the best game none of you watched. Texas State scored in the third overtime on a double pass and two-point conversion to take a 56-48 lead and then still had to sack the Ohio QB to stop a two-point conversion that would have retied the game. New head coach Everett Withers is already a third of the way to matching the team's 2015 win total.
*we've been in that bottom 10 pretty consistently for the last couple of years |

Did not see the game, but knew the bobcats won. Wife is a Southwest Texas alumni, so we follow the team. _________________ Work SUX! |

bro...y'all played a team that went 4-8 last year. hope you looked good!
but yeah, you don't have your usual big game vs uo or uw or whoever, so there's no reason you shouldn't run the table. you need to be rooting for louisville to take uh down - i think that's the only team that can. |

This is true, but a lot of people had high hopes for ULL this year. More importantly, there are a lot of new faces on the BSU side. I was happy to see everything was clicking. They could have hung a hundo on them.
Yes, I will be routing for whoever is playing Houston. Unfortunately, non of our nonconference foes helped our SOS in week 1. WTF wazzou. |

Houston didn't look very good to me. I thought Cinci was going to beat them. Pretty sure Louisville and maybe even Navy will take them out. |

Les Miles reportedly fired.
Speaking of getting fired, Notre Dame should dump Kelly yesterday. |

why? notre dame was largely irrelevant in the 20 years before kelly showed up. he needs to fire vangorder, but he's doing a pretty good job there - this isn't 1988.
herman is packing his bags for baton rouge right about now... |

no, but i think he's gone the instant the final whistle blows. his stock will never be higher and lsu is a top 10 destination gig. les miles is a certified idiot and averaged 10+ wins in 11 full seasons, w/ 2 conf titles, 2 natl title games and 1 championship. saban will leave bama in the next couple of years, and herman is twice the coach miles is. lsu dominates la recruiting and he can cherry pick houston. that's literally the recipe for a bama-esque dynasty. |

I've never liked Kelly, as stated above. I think he makes decisions, that are questionable at best...i.e.: the QB divisions early.
In a nutshell, I think that is a job that begs for a monster & he's not doing the job.
But as stated, I REALLY don't like him. |
