I started wakeboarding this year, and I love it Laughing

I have an 18 ft outboard boat with a 115 hp engine of this type: http://www.nordkapp-boats.no/modellene/nordkapp-enduro/enduro-550/ . I know it's not as good as dedicated a watersports boat for wakeboarding, but I'd like to make it as good as possible before next season.

I'm thinking that ballast tanks (fat sacks or similar) would make the wake better. Any particular recommendations or things to consider?

The boat has a water ski pole, but it's not very tall. I'm thinking of using this pylon, as it doesn't require any modifications to the boat: http://home.insanitypylons.com/ss.html . Any comments or recommentations? Installing a tower is not an option.
