eeven73, looks like this is your uni for sat... btw - only 1 losing season since the pick
@UOPintens: Prior to "The Pick" Oregon all-time had a .495 Win% (359-366-34). Since that game, Oregon is .731 (177-65) #GoDucks

Awesome!!
I hope we play well. Really been a mixed bag this year.
Hard to believe that The Pick predates a lot of the players on the field. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian? |

Certainly I don't have a ton of knowledge on all current top programs, but it is unlikely that there is another program out there with such a catalytic moment that triggered such a dramatic rise. Obviously, it makes it easier when you have a booster like Phil to jump in and build the ship. Maybe it wasn't as organic as it could have been without Phil's money, but everyone bought (see what I did there) in.
Somewhat speaking of underdog stories tonight on the Pac-12 networks is the replay of our upset of Miami in 2000. A team which had 15, yes 15 first round NFL draft picks.

Funny you say that... I was watching SC this morning and get a dirty feeling watching that guy. Thinking to myself, is there anyone, who isn't a FSU fan, that doesn't think this guy is a total douchebag? |

Bellotti has said repeatedly that after the 94 Rose Bowl Phil came to him and said, "what do you need to win?" They started with the Mashofsky Center(their indoor practice facility).
On the other hand I do believe that it is an over simiplification to say Phil Money= Wins, It sure don't hurt though. As sick as I was of Bellotti's conservative coaching I gotta give the man credit for nuking his Pro Style Offense and moving to the Spread in 04'. After what had until then been the apex of the program(Harrington, Fiesta Bowl). And also for getting rid of Crowton for Kelly. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian? |

Without the fans money only goes so far, you really do need both and it's clear the fans were ready. Now I can't go a day without seeing an O sticker on a car....here in San Jose. _________________

^ I happened to be flying back from Minneapolis to Portland the Friday before the Michigan State game.
On the plane there were about 10-15 MSU fans and amazingly 20-30 Oregon fans headed to game. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian? |

Ahhheeemmmmm.......... Half way home.
Really suprised it wasn't a closer game against the Dawgs. This really was the least competitive game in the last few years. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian? |

I was able to watch the Utes game via "Hopper with Sling" on the ipad this weekend. Nice road win, one of only 2 games that I watched all weekend due to being out of town(kinda watched the ND vs FSU game in the background while visiting with people in our condo).
Utes are now 1 win away from going bowling for the first time in a few years, which is positive. Seems odd to just want 6....but I'm there. Toughest part of the schedule coming up, starting with USC this Saturday.
GO UTES! |

I don't even want to watch anymore. We can't even be competitive when we're on the same field. I would have thought that our strength (front 7) would have paired well against the ducks weakness (running game). I would have thought our veteran O-line could have established a run game against a defense that had been giving up 175yds/game.
If there is a silver lining it's maybe that Troy Williams needs more reps. Cyler has been playing better, but he isn't blowing any minds...though a terrible run game does have something to do with that.
I wasn't expecting to win the Pac-12 this year, but I was hoping for significantly better efforts against Oregon and Stanford. Glad we have ASU and UCLA at home, would be very happy if we could get to 9 wins this year.
The good news for you eeven73 is that I need to pick up the following this week at K&L Wines (in addition to what I have in stock at home).
Willett 10 Year K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength
Maker's Mark Cask Strength Bourbon
Corbin Cash Merced Rye Whiskey
Orphan Barrel Rhetoric 20 Year Old Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey _________________

Keep this in the back of mind when tempted to mock Oregon playing Tennessee Tech in future NC schedule. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian? |

Haven't been this anxious for a game in a long time, maybe the last time the Utes played BYU? Huge game today...win and leading the PAC12 South with a real possibility to win it. Lose, back to 6 games and a bowl game. |

Rough weekend. Watched Halliday go down for the Cougs, but the worst was the Treadwell ankle break. That was a rough way for that game to end. That kid played his heart out. Also pretty sickened by the Auburn newspaper cover photo and headline. |

Luke Falk is the nephew of some great friends of mine. Though you never want to see a talent like Halliday go down, I'm excited to see what Luke can do.
No idea what you are talking about with the Auburn newspaper.... |

I couldn't believe that. When I first heard I thought it was the campus paper, but even they know better than to do that.. I'd imagine someone at OA news lost their job |
