I am going out to San Francisco late sept. I have a room at the Hotel Triton because it is close to the conference center. Any tips on that area? I think I am close to Chinatown? Will be going in one day early so I have Saturday to check out a few things.

You are Chinatown adjacent.

I'm assuming you've been to SF before.

Late sept like the last weekend? If yes, and you are a baseball fan, the Giants are in town for the last series of the season. ATT is an awesome venue.

Any things you are in to specifically?

If you haven't been then you should hit the touristy stuff just so you can get it out of the way. Pier 39. GG Bridge. Fisherman's Wharf. Possibly Alcatraz. Although, Pier 39 is really just a shopping center. Walking to the end of it nets a great view of the bay and the rock though. To get there, you will want to either Uber it, or walk to Market St. and grab a (historic) streetcar down to the Wharf - super easy, just jump on one on Market and jump off at the end of the line (Fisherman's Wharf).

If Misty wants to shop you are in the Union Square district from the hotel. Everything you can imagine is there in easy walking. Maybe too easy...

You are actually a handful of blocks from Moscone, so bring comfortable shoes. You are going to get some good walking in getting to the conv center and then walking around it (it's quite large).

If you can get over there, I have always gotten a good pie at Tony's in North Beach.

I'll be there for Oracle Open World as well and staying at Hotel Nikko! I'll be staying a few days after it's over to explore the city.

If anyone knows of good Asian (Ramen, Dim Sum, etc) type places to eat I'd appreciate it.
