Seems a little odd that we've had some strange plane activities lately. Are we seeing older planes not being maintained properly? Are these events related? Is this just coincidence?
Obviously, there are still lots of questions about MH370 and the event with MH17 seems very odd, with lots of questions to be answered.
Thoughts?
I am doubtful of coincidence, but not convinced of conspiracy. However, the conspiracy theories do have some level of plausibility. A couple write ups...
Quote: | MH-17 Was In Fact The ‘Lost’ Flight MH-370
When it was first announced that flight MH-370 disappeared without a trace, there had been voices suggesting that the same plane will be later used in a false flag operation.
Personally, I tried to ignore the speculations thinking that no secret agency could ever conduct such an insanely-obvious operation, expecting that the rest of the world is stupid enough to buy it.
Boy, was I was wrong!
It’s not only that the official MH17 story is filled with gaps, but there are also bizarre accounts and ‘coincidences’ that are impossible to ignore: |

Quote: | "Why was flight MH17 routed over directly over a war zone? This was not a normal flight path. In fact it was 300 miles off course. Normally planes this flight path keep significantly farther south, and the decision to allow MH17 to fly over Donetsk was ultimately the decision of the the authorities in Kiev.
Now, Kiev initially claimed that they were acting under the assumption that this route was safe as long as the flight stayed above 32,000 feet, which is out of range for man-pad surface to air missiles. But that statement was later contradicted by Ukraine officials who said they knew three days before the downing of MH17 that that the separatists had the Buk missile system, which is capable of hitting aircraft at much higher altitudes. So either the Ukrainian government is lying about the separatists having the missiles, or they routed flight MH17 300 miles off course, KNOWING that it could be easily shot down." |

Should be easy enough to find the tail numbers of flights MH370 and MH17. Then reference those tail numbers to aircraft serial numbers. If you crash/lose 2 planes, you've lost 2 tail numbers and 2 serial numbers. Tail numbers are easy enough to change, but to start moving serial numbers you have to have a lot of parties in on the conspiracy starting with the manufacturer which is Boeing.
I know MH370 was a 2005 or 2006 777 with around 60,000 hours on it. I don't know about MH17, but I think it was also a 777. The plane was introduced in 1995, so none of them are more than 19 years old. Somewhere over 100,000 hours is normal time for one of those for a mainline carrier. After that, they'll become freight dogs or airliners in 3rd world countries for who knows how long. So, age of those airplanes shouldn't be a prime condition for catastrophic failure.
It would take some work, but I'm sure more people died in those 2 accidents than a 777 has seats, but that's one way to bust the theory.
MH17 was flying through a war zone that other airlines were avoiding, but not all airlines were avoiding it. The Ukraine gov't was allowing flights through the area above 32,000 feet which MH17 was in compliance with.
It's easy to come up with these conspiracy theories. They're easy to disprove, but it takes more legwork. |

A couple of interesting thoughts from someone I know in the business...
1. Malaysian Airlines only operated 13 777-200's.
2. Out of 13, we've had 2 that were involved in strange incidents in just 6 months.
3. MA is one of the safest in the world...2 losses in 68 years.
4. 777 are one of the safest planes out there.
Many think, and my friend agrees, that MH370 was taken by someone. Now, we have another MH plane involved in something odd. Seems really fishy.
It's plausible to consider this is an event coordinated by our government in order to incite another war or revive the cold war. War is big business. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

I don't think it is. War is big business for defense contractors, but not a good thing for the gov't. What's the upside for the U.S. gov't in these "wars"? Was the cold war a benefit to the U.S.? Korea? Vietnam? Iraq? Afghanistan? That's like saying lawsuits are big business for private companies. Sometimes they're necessary if the company has been wronged, but no legitimate company management looks for ways to create problems that will hopefully result in lawsuits where they stand to gain nothing other than getting back to where they were before the lawsuit. |

It's great for government, or rather those that are running/in control of our government/economy. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

9/11 was great for the US government. Look at how much power the fed took to spy on us, grow agencies and add rules to our lives. _________________ Work SUX! |

Tickets should be really cheap to fly Malaysia Airlines by now!
3rd incident...
Quote: | A Malaysia Airlines plane was forced to abort a take-off after learning that it was on a collision course with an incoming airliner.
Flight MH136, which had 167 passengers on board, was already rolling down the runway at Adelaide Airport yesterday when it was forced to slam on the brakes.
Adelaide Air Traffic Control radioed the flight, bound for Kuala Lumpur, with instructions to abort the takeoff after realising the plane was on a collision course with in incoming jet. |

All part of the conspiracy.
But seriously, that's a tower problem, nothing to do with the airline or flight crew. |
