I fill it until it hits the top of the wire mesh part. I don't fill it to the very top of the cylinder.
I was counting scoops, until I realized I could just use the mesh as my guide.
Also, so the grounds don't just stay at the top (floating) I have been sealing it tightly and laying it on it's side when it is steeping overnight. _________________

That's about where it was. If I fill my grinder to a certain level, that has worked well for the quart mason jars. I just double it for the pitcher and that's how full it ended up. I'll have to try laying it on its side...I did notice they were floating at the top this morning.
I've got my final beverage mix right about where I like it. I fill my cup with 50-60% ice, then fill with coffee to about 75% full, top with a splash of 1% milk, and a little flavored syrup. Seems just about right where it is mostly the coffee, but has a light amount of the other flavors. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |
