The water skis were the first thing we ever bought when we bought our first boat. they were used, bought from someone who advertised them in the Bargain Finder. They are about as vintage as you can get.

The dogs playing poker will go right next to the dogs playing pool. I had both of them painted by a local artist. We are going to move the movie posters from our other room into the theater room and the pictures we had in the games room will be put up in the rest of our basement.

We were debating what should be our first movie. We are doing a kids movie, which is decided already. Surfs Up, love that movie. The second movie we are still thinking about. Needs to be an action movie, so you get the big sound and big screen experience. Movies we are thinking about would be T2, Bourne, Skyfall, New Star trek, Gladiator, Indiana Jones, Avengers, Transformers. Probably missed one or two but that's the list we were thinking about....

For movie 2 I would go with something newer to show off the graphics, ie Star Trek or Transformers. As for the cartoons the ones like Brave or Tangled are awesome, and even better in 3d.

If everything ran smoothly life would be too boring right! The room is getting close to being completed. I was so excited when the screen showed up yesterday finally, put it together and I'm thinking holy crap, did i give the contractor the wrong dimensions for the pillars around the screen. Did a quick measurement and nope, i was right... THEY Sent the wrong screen. I have a 123 inch screen sitting in my basement now, and the trouble is the pillars are only wide enough for a 110 inch screen.

If anyone wants a 123 let me know... Smile They are resending the right screen tomorrow but won't get it for another week. Components gets installed tomorrow, there will be some touch ups and we'll pretty much be done.

I have half the chairs down there now. need to set up the other four. Doing four seats in the front and 5 across the back...

I'll take some real pics. THe iphone camera is POS

Looks pretty sweet Bam. So they are just letting you keep the screen? That's kind of a big "oops" on their part.

big oops for sure. they said by the time it was sent back, they would have pay shipping ect ect it would be too much. It's not a BRAND new screen now so they have to discout it. They said they'd be losing money so there wasn't much point....

It's a theater room so theater carpet is appropo. I don't know if I would have chosen it but when the lights are off you won't see it anyway! Very Happy

Do u guys have any idea how to negotiate anything? I get a theater room with cambridge audio stuff, focal speakers and subs and theater seats. The wife picks the carpet, and paint colour. Which I am more than fine with as well. We wanted to make it a fun room and completely different from the rest of the house. Kind of like when I wanted to buy the new boat last year, she said fine as long as I pick the colour. DONE

I probably should't show you the movie posters that are going up in the room if you don't like the carpet.

My guesses:

1) Strange Brew
2) Canadian Bacon
3) A Molson Canadian beer poster
4) A Wayne Gretsky poster
