So I'm new to wake boarding and surfing. . Only being doing it for two seasons. I'm looking to buy a new boat in the off season. I have a master craft 225 vrs now that i put about 2500 lbs of ballast in. I probably wake board 60% of the time and surf 40%. I boat this boat in June and have put over 100 hours on it but I have never rode behind any thing else. . I'm looking to buy another boat in the off season I just don't know if I would be better to buy a few year old x star or a new axis or mb tomcat or something. Looking to stay in the 50k range.. any help would be great

i would go with a couple-year old axis if i were you. unless you don't need a lot of space, a used super air 210 could work as well. for me, the selling point is being able to get a year or two year old a22 for the same price that a 5+ year old nautique is.

Why don't you try to demo as many boats as you can before the weather shuts you down. I would not buy anything without test drive/rideing it. It took us 2 years to find the prefect boat for us its been almost 5 years now and we still love it.
