Afghanistan had to happen but the lesson from that round was the American people do not have the appetite for true victory. We enter with conflicting objectives and handcuff our soldiers with rules to help the PR campaign. I'm not willing to enter a multi-faction civil war without the intent to level stuff and become the occupying force
This is exactly what I said a number of time before Afghanistan/Iraq.
Syria is a whole handful of lose, and we just got crapped on my Britain. Not good. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian?
I'll just leave this here...forget about the commentary...it shows the kind of people these folks are. If we can barely stomach what this guy did, how can we even consider fighting them.

So, I received an emailed article from this morning in which a rebel confessed that their own error detonated the weapons. Is it too late to un-push the red button? _________________

Delicious irony watching Kerry argue for Military Strikes in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian?
Sen. John McCain got caught virtual gambling during critical congressional hearing on probable attack on Syria.
That's one way to flush out a joker.
While President Obama’s top aides were gambling the Senate Foreign Relations Committee would back a military strike on Syria, Sen. John McCain was playing poker on his iPhone.
The Arizona Republican, who has pushed hard for the United States to take military action, appeared more interested in making straights than listening to Secretary of State Kerry make the case for punishing Syrian despot Bashar Assad.
So if Assad's regime violates the Geneva Convention with a gas attack and one of the rebel factions violates the Geneva Convention by executing POWs and civilians, are these offsetting penalties? _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong.

Yes. By rule, if two parties commit offsetting penalties, then they must replay the down. However, if one party commits multiple infractions, then they must replay the down. This is not to say that one penalty is worse than another, but they do offset and the play is null and void. Please reset the game clock to 2:21 and move the line of scrimmage back to the 42. The clock will begin again on my signal.

Interesting developments over the last 24 hours. I'm optimistic, but skeptical about it working out. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?
I always like to follow the money when thing like this happen. I couldn't figure out why Syria is / has been so important for years. From what I understand, they control a huge pipeline infrastructure in the mid-east. Russia / China like Assad because he is friendly towards them. The US and our Arab allies want some one new (just not sure who this is).
I have no idea if this is accurate or not. So far, it is the only money / power trail I can think of. _________________ Work SUX!
The anti-war movement is MIA as this war, er counterterrorism operation, begins. Back when Bush was waging war, dissent was the highest form of patriotism. Now it’s “racism.” If you speak truth to power in the Obama era, they call it hate speech. The IRS will audit you.
Obama’s media sycophants described his prime-time speech as “nuanced.” I’d call it ragtime.
I thought the moonbats didn’t want the U.S. “going it alone.” You hear that phrase on the networks now about as often as you hear the words “full employment.” _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian?
